Definitely more love for the ACC than what I thought at the beginning of the day. Congrats to the Wahoos on a great season, BTW.
Absolutely give the kids credit for today’s effort. There aren’t many teams with the firepower to keep up with Duke. That said, I’m pretty sure we’re NIT-bound. I’d really like to see what this team could be with a junior year from Buckets to go along with more experience from this year’s freshmen, but that’s another thing I’m not optimistic about.
And thanks, Dickie V, for that insightful analysis: “You know, Duke’s really tough when they have the lead.”
Considering they were down 13 at halftime the last time these two played, I’ll take a one-point differential. Hopefully they’ve got another good 20 minutes of basketball in them.
Yeah, RT looked set there all the way…until the Cuse player crashed into him, evidently making him move his feet. Grrr.
