As long as they don’t fall into the same halftime trap they had against Notre Dame and Miami. You’d think they’ve learned that much by now. I want to see the same first-half intensity coming out of the locker room.
When’s the last time the Pack held UNC to under 20 in a first half? Wish they’d scored on that last possession, but not a bad half overall.
I’m just hoping for a competitive game at this point. No slow start, no limping to the finish line. Hard play both halves, offense and defense. That’s all. They do that, they’ve got a puncher’s chance.

I grew up watching Sloan and Valvano face off against Coach Smith. As little as I cared for the Tarheels at the time–I can tolerate them in small doses now–he was always a class act. And probably didn’t get nearly the credit he should have for it. I respected him as a rival coach and admired him as a man. That’s probably the best most of us can ask for at the end of it. RIP.
