Yet playing us, Maryland, Connecticut, & Western Carolina at home is “making major strides” at USF? When did those four teams become “major [programs]” in elevating someone’s schedule?
howlieParticipantOn some of the national broadcast games of old [certainly not recent] ESPN had cables crisscrossing the field to zip that overhead camera around.
Just reinstall the cables and provide canvas over the east stands to shield the sun from the east siders… Paint a few cartoon rocks on them, & a Go Wolpfack!
We’re capable.
howlieParticipantWith Hodge’s latest can’t-see-the-forest-for-his-eyelashes tweets about Mccants, he’s dropped down to fitty cents.
howlieParticipantGood points foose, wuf, et al.
Here’s hoping the recruiting domino will now roll…
howlieParticipantLikewise, I don’t remember any statements declaring or even hinting that there were “bad attitudes” among previous players who needed to be expunged from the team… I DO remember the 1Pack1Goal stuff about getting the O & D to support one another; &, “in-state” players vs. out-of-state players having different perspectives… but not bad attitudes of players that needed to be kicked to the curb.
howlieParticipantThis quote is concerning, “They are… unwilling to accept what Dave inherited in attitude, lack of talent/ recruiting and… he and his staff were hired to reverse that downward trend.”
I don’t remember DY sharing that^ specificity upon TOB’s release, nor “coming to DD’s aid” with that specificity during last year’s death spiral (instead, TOB was fired due to “loss of ticket sales”).
Yes, she stated some ‘general’ comments of support for DD, but I don’t remember her stating that TOB’s recruiting was slipping previously. TOB’s recruiting rankings (as per other recruiting sites) were all pretty much ‘average,’ except in a year or two when a several 4* guys were signed–but they didn’t turn out to be difference-makers (except Glennon). Instead, TOB was ‘known’ for “developing diamond-in-the-rough players.” So, how do you tell when he was “developing” them, and when he wasn’t?04/22/2014 at 10:26 PM in reply to: Torian Graham sighting! Welcome home, with the Pack.
howlieParticipant^If you are following the lemmings over the cliff, don’t follow Harrison Beck crowd–that was the pro set. The longrange gunslinger never knew what the short game was.
I believe (<–there’s that word) that Jacoby will be able to ‘make his reads’ between high tailing it and hitting our receivers on a slant… drawing in the defense to set up the long ball… or the pitch to a RB.
I’m not sure how many ‘progressions’ there are in this offense beyond those choices.
howlieParticipantWe don’t have a Prius to “save the world,” but, rather, because it puts money in our pocket. Buy them used (as we did), & the prices are very similar. Then get 50 miles a gallon around town across years (65 on long trips)… that’s bucks in my back pocket for fun when we arrive. And when you want to ‘zip,’ it accelerates faster than our other petrol-based car. The only thing I don’t like about the Prius is that the seats are not quite as comfortable…
Somehow (well actually, we know how) the prevailing attitude is that an electric/hybrid purchasers are “stupid” for “those who don’t d research.” Rather, it is a viable choice for some, as we don’t have careers where we can hope or expect a ‘cash cow’ or ‘huge commission’ to fall into our laps to be able to splurge on a vehicle. We need to maximize meager wages every day. For folks like us, it is a very good choice to have an electric/hybrid.howlieParticipantWhat in the world does
W B S
stand for?
howlieParticipantNice article with info no other site has.
I’m a dunce, & its probably just me, but I didn’t completely understand the ‘Advantages’ chart at the bottom. The polar bear icon used for one team got switched to the other team below… sometimes both icons are shown [meaning ‘draw’?], but then each team’s icons got switched…?
Perhaps a ‘Dunce Key’ is needed at the bottom for folks like me to not be confused.howlieParticipantSo much for chemistry.
Tyler pulls a Purvis with a stupid postgame tweet after our biggest victory of the season.
howlieParticipantI didn’t like the ‘candy/lip gloss’ look of this year’s helmets. A matte finish would look better, with the ‘Block S’ being in the shiny/reflective finish.
Regarding these helmets, generally, they look pretty cool. I don’t understand, however, if you’re going to all the trouble of putting the logo/decal across the facemask bar & fasteners [for continuity], why have a bright white chin strap snapped right over top of it all? At least go to the ‘background color’ of the helmet with the strap… that shouldn’t be too hard.
