I hope last night broke my jinx on watching. I went to the bedroom at halftime(didn’t watch any of the first half), turned on the TV, was reading the newspaper and halfway listening to the game. A run of a few points, then lose a little, another run, backup again, another run, backup…I finally put the newspaper down at the 7 minutes to go mark and said “well, show me what you got, Pack”! They kept inching forward at a snail’s pace, the the Coonasses couldn’t buy a basket, but we threw up a few bricks and I wasn’t very hopeful and when that final shot went in with .1 left on the clock, my immediate thought was “Deja Vue, 1983 all over again! Way to go, Pack. You guys can play if you’d give it 110% every minute of the game!

Well…hard to express emotions, but if there “is a God” and he is not a Hole, the something bad happens in Chapel Hill. However, since I am a Christian and believe that “man will never cure or punish all fo the ills of mankind), I don’t know what to think. If they don’t get major penalties, then I’m disgusted. All I can do at this point is to hope for the best result for all of us..

“Floodgates”? Wow, we had very few when I was there from 63-65, but when I came back in 70, it was like night and day. I’d gotten used to the “Meredith Gestapo” before so when a young State coed asked me up to her room one night, I thought I’d died and gone to heaven.
You know the story about “Walking softly and Carrying a Big SticK”? I’ll leave it at that, but at 69………………………well, speaking of 69 since that might be a better option anyway. Bout all I get out of Powerplay anymore is “promises”…You’ll find out…Tried those pills one time and I scared the hell out of her…Gave new meaning to the “Energizer Bunny”.

BTW, you’ve never seen this “tight little booty” that I carry around. But none of you guys ever got to witness “The Stick” wearing a Pink Tutu at a hockey game back in the late 90’s Short story, but that’s what happens when you have a few too many during a Saturday morning golf game. I wish I had thought to contact the TV stations in a couple of South Carolina markets to get copies of the videos that were on the 11 o’clock news. That was the night that “The Stick” moniker went viral!
And BTW, Mrs. Stick’s moniker is “Powerplay”!

With all due respect, if the BOG has ANY SAY about the colors or wording on the jerseys, we’ve got worse problems than a color scheme to deal with. Did we not clearly say that We are Not the F’ing University of NC at Raleigh and that is settled law!

I’m gonna “bronze” the above quote. Ranks right up there with something from Dirty Harry or John Wayne.
One thing I’ve learned over the years having “divided loyalties”, none of which are to the Carolina with the blue in the emblem, is that there are jerks in every team’s fan base and their are reasonable people in every team’s fan base. I do my best to avoid the jerks altogether. I had a bad feeling that someone would do or say something that would just give the Holes an excuse. We’ll never hear the end of this just like “Everybody does it”!

You’re probably right, however it’s an ongoing theme that shouldn’t go unaddressed.
The “game” or however you would want to describe it, it NOT BASKETBALL…Not by any stretch of the imagination ! I is full fledged, full court thugery, requires really no talent, and certainly no finesse! DT, TB, Towe, Walton, MJ, probably could not even play this game. Maybe Lambeer and Barkley! It’s a waste of time to watch and even bigger waste, to even care! Every time I try, it only takes me a few minutes. There’s no wonder kids play soccer and baseball all year long..Basketball is a joke!

6 on 6 started being phased out in 1958 by the Office of Civil rights and it took 37 years. Oklahoma and Iowa were the last, I think. I wasn’t even thinking about the 2 dribble rule. There was a New Jersey variation.

We should go back to the old women’s rules. 5 on offense, 5 on defense, and they can’t cross half court.
Or we could pick up some of the ultimate rules. No dribbling or taking steps with the ball.
That was not the rule “even in Iowa where they still play it”..It was 6 players, 2 rovers who could cross mid court. Believe it or not, that was the way it was played until I was “long out of high school in North Carolina”…
