Yes, I and my extended NCSU family all watched it. I have it on VHS which has been converted to DVD. I still watch it and think we are going to lose.
Yes, my comment was probably a little off. Jim Harrick did get outcoached. His players choked and gave us the game. (Hmmm….that sounds a bit like Black Monday’s game).
In the Pepperdine game, I do not remember any Officiating influences…and I STILL wonder about the Balk calls…so maybe Elliott Avent gets a pass.
Was at Amedeo’s last night and asked if they had already taken down the black wreath over the Esposito-Tanner-Avent “Dug Out” area. Unfortunately, I had to explain that to my waitress….
Hope you got a table that you could “fit in”…Was there last fall and it took two booths before I could convince her that I was “too big” for those little tiny booths!!! I’m not even sure I could have fit in one of those back in the early 60’s…

The big questions include:
1. When are the voters of NC gonna demand that politicians and bureaucrats going to come clean and demand that “lying and covering up” criminal behavior is not acceptable.
2. When will the legislature tell the UnC BOG that “you are not doing your job by sitting on your hands”?
3. When will the other schools in the ACC say “enough is enough” and demand that
a: additional penalties apply to UnC
b: Johnny Swofford be fired and admonished
4. The “flag over the flagship” is removed and presented to the school who does things “the Right Way” rather than the “Carolina Way”

Blame it on me if you want…I will watch a State baseball game, but have a hard time dealing with basketball over the past 2-3 years. However, we were up 8-1 when I lost the game on TV when UCLA-Maryland came on. I’d already climbed in the sack so I didn’t get up to watch it on ESPN3. I watched the score at the top during the UCLA-Md game and all I could think is “you gotta be kidding”! I missed all of the balks so I can’t address, but I had a very sick stomach the rest of the night.

Turns out that it’s birds messing with the tender shoots for the most part, however I did bust a big ole wabbit munching on our flowers the other day. Yesterday, the neighborhood hawk paid me a visit. Perched right on the retaining wall around our patio. I had moved my camera from the sunroom to the bedroom about 30 minutes before and didn’t have my phone handy.
My wife has put netting over the young plants. One of our neighbors runs the local farm supply store and she stopped to talk with him the other afternoon. She asked about the okra not coming up. He said it could have been birds, but they got a bad batch of Clemson okra seed this year. He gave her two flats of okra plants to plant.
Sometime late Saturday night/early Sunday morning, my submersible pump on my well burned up. I had left the water on very slightly to 2 soaker hoses. Don’t think it was that though. Bad things always happens on holiday weekends, but I was lucky enough to get my pluming guys to come over Sunday and replace the pump. There was a very suspicious “knick” in the wiring close to the connections to the pump. The insulation was cut all the way to the wire.

Thanks for the tribute. I salute all veterans but today is definitely reserved for those who made the ultimate sacrifice. To that idiot radio announcer who stupidly commented “I’m over all this military appreciation” during ACC Championship game 13 on Saturday, I would ask – and what have you done for your country? Some people just don’t know when to keep there random thoughts to themselves.
As a vet, I’m glad you pointed that out. I also wish we’d remember and DO something about all of our vets on the other days of the year that don’t have Memorial Day, July 4, and Veterans Day attached to it. Lots of big talk from politicians and little is ever done! The veterans and families of veterans that need assistance deserve better. I spent 4 years in the Army and was fortunate to came back in one piece and with a relatively sound mind, so I can’t complain about me, but there are a lot of scarred vets and families who need better medical treatment.

My wife plants the squash seed, they come up and two days later, the wabbits clipped every one off…However, I’m starting to wonder if Mockingbirds are doing some of the damage. I know we’ve got them around and read something about that the other day.

Picked up 2 Carolina Reapers yesterday at the local nursery. I will have to wear gloves when picking the peppers or at least remember to wash my hands BEFORE taking a leak…..picked up and unloaded 2 yards of compost Saturday and the garden is planted except for Cukes and they are on the agenda for tomorrow.

Great minds think alike! That’s exactly what I’m hoping! Ran into a fellow today when I was buying seed and plants and he raises rabbits…Said he’d buy them from me, but I have yet been able to trap one of them. Must be using the wrong bait…I’ve got one of those modern traps plus an old timey rabbit box.
