^ Agree. You could name 20 coaches off the top of your head and make this prognostication with a straight face.
So why doesn’t the brilliant coach Jamie go get him some players like Gott did? Who’s the terrible coach?

That’s what Gott said as he was talking about him getting serious about losing weight. But beej is right, he played much better when he put some of it back on. I’ve seen golfers lose their game after taking off a bunch of weight but never a basketball player.
Yep. I have been saying “Roy is toast” followed by “state fans say probably nothing because they are Carolina”. But I don’t really believe that. There is no way they get away with that kind of cheating no matter who they are. It’s not like they are flying under the radar. The whole country is asking. I can even see ‘Ol Roy taking the fall and riding off into the sunset. Which almost brings a tear to my eye. Will it really be as much fun without him around? If the Hole lovers are ready to run him off, then by all means I want him to stay.

Haha now I feel better. A lot of wisdom right there didn’t know I was so smart.
Then it wouldn’t be any need to play the games. Sometimes losers win, and sometimes winners lose. And anybody who is a loser is trying to become a winner.
Miami beat VT by 24 a couple of weeks ago, so it is going to be asking a lot for a VT win Saturday. Miami has been up and down quite a but though, so a VT win is not out of the question. I don’t think any of the bottom teams are as bad as their record makes them look.
ON the one hand, iirc, this practice was started by Dean Smith, which makes it hard for me to embrace. But as a frequent bench warmer myself, I would like for Statts to get a chance to play. It is a small gesture to show appreciation for the effect that has been made in loyalty to the team and the hard work at practices to help them get better. Let em play Coach!
Anyone who has seen his teams play knows he has it.
I have watched several times, most notably the loss to Duquesne. I don’t wish Archie anything but the best but I just don’t get the fascination with him. I did not see anything either offensively or defensively that made me go wow, those guys really know how to play. We’ve tried the former player thing, who unquestionably at the time was a great prospect and we were ecstatic to get him. Heck, we’ve even had both Archie and Sean on our staff. Like V always said, what do you think, the HC wouldn’t let em coach? Obviously Sean has gone on to prove his worth and Archie may well do the same, but the obsession with him in the middle of a dramatic improvement in our program makes no sense to me.
How many years did it take the Saint – Coach V to win in the Dean Dome…
and did he dance with his team afterwards?The research is in. V never beat the Holes at their place until his last (10th) year. No word on if he danced afterward. But seeing how Gott got it done in four, I’d say he showed great restraint with those moves he displayed:}
I’ve had a while to think about it…What happened, other than just blame it on Coach or tired legs or whatever? It seemed that Cat could not control the game as he has been doing lately. He could not drive, penetrate, or dribble around. They cut him off and made him pass. BC adjusted to what he has been doing so effectively and now we’ve got to adjust to that. On the other side, why has teams like Clemson, WF, now BC shot so well against us, better it seems than they have all year? The easy answer is to say we play poor defense but is that really true? If they are hitting threes and everything they throw up, sometimes it is just, what can you do? Obviously you have to get rebounds and play solid D but it’s not like they were getting lay ups or wide open looks on every possession. We couldn’t stop them but I really do not know why. They are a 1 win team (now 2) but they looked really good and I’ve seen them look good in other games also. We just got beat. Tuesday’s coming.
