I did it! I didn’t actually say “baleful”, but I did give a customer who has been giving me trouble a baleful stare as she walked away. Come to think of it, I gave her one last week too and didn’t even know what it was. And I’m pretty sure she is a yankee so it’s a perfect fit. If a baleful look can be given with glee in your heart, I did it today. Thanks CD!

The missing h in the title Forth Worth has really got me concerned. Seems to me, that is messing with mojo, and I would really like to see it changed back. If we could just win the Forth Worth regional, we could move on to the Collage Station Super Regional on our way to Omaha.

I had to look up “baleful” but now that I’m up to speed, I definitely agree about the yankees. I am going to try to work this new found word into my routine tomorrow.

Put my vote down for the east side. Morning sun much more valuable than afternoon scorching heat. More sun the better but sometimes a little shade in the late heat is good too.

Well said and ditto…I like the way you think, Marine.

Nitwits are, on the otherhand, perennials.

That means, for the horticulturally challenged, they may go dormant, but they always come back.

That is a great question for Rick, ancsu. Be interesting to see if you get a “substantial” response. It’s easy to find fault, but not as easy to provide answers. Just like politics.

That’s what I’m talkin’ about! Now I feel whole. Maybe I’m not in over my head, I just need more seasoning. I understood every word that time.

Man that’s good stuff, Kappa. Got me fired up too. We will be hard to stop on offense this year. So many different ways to attack.

Dang, CD, I was hoping that you would respond to my post and that you would take it in the spirit it was intended. There were several compliments embedded in there that you may not have caught the first time through. Point being, I enjoy trying to figure out what the heck you are talking about in your posts. I wasn’t sure if I was one of the “couple others” you were glad to see back, but if so, thanks, just trying to pull my weight here.

Actually, it made us the laughing stock of the nation to this day. We’re the ones who ran RW off. Still hear it all the time.

Hillary Clinton – “AT THIS POINT WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE ANYWAY”. Or something like that. I got the hollowing part right anyway.

CD – You seem to speak in some sort of code that I have the hardest time deciphering. I think I may be in a little over my head here. Plus, you keep using words that I have to go and look up, which isn’t so bad because I love learning new ones. But even then, I keep finding myself just scratching my head.

I’m late to the game but here are my thoughts. I don’t understand it, I’ll never understand it, and I don’t want to understand it. Trevor Lacy had a chance to be a part of something huge next year. We were set up for him to be the leader of a team that had all the pieces to contend for a championship. His stock could have rocketed. Has he not seen what happens when you come out too early, don’t get drafted, and languish trying to find a spot somewhere? Everyone thinks it won’t happen to them. It reminds me of an employee who left me by text one day with no notice. When I questioned him, he says “I’ve got to do what’s best for ME.” ME ME ME. I said doing things the right way is what is best for you and you are not doing the right thing.

I thought we had a TEAM. Come to find out, it’s just all about me me me. I know it’s about the bucks, but think about the guys who stayed, past and present, who got to experience being part of a championship. I don’t think they would trade it for anything. Same feelings for Washington for me. Sure, he had a lot of competition. If he stayed and got better, he would play plenty and be part of a great TEAM. Now he gets to sit for a year, and start all over. No commitment, no responsibility to earn your time, just ME ME ME. I used to not care about the NBA, now I just abhor it. I wouldn’t spend 5 seconds of my time watching it on TV or in person.

I am sure I will get just as excited next fall watching the guys who do play and pulling for them. We may still be pretty doggone good. But I just want to cry when I think about what has happened to college ball. Everyone for them self, jockeying for the pros, and no devotion to TEAM. They don’t know what they are missing.

Very impressive botb, but, not to call my own number, my going to a 6:30 wedding on S16 Friday night and making it back home before 7:30 tip off is going to be hard to beat. Slipped out right after the I dos, and probably made myself look worse than not going at all, but c’mon, it was the biggest game in 30 years. How could I miss it?

I’m not sure Verne was so much biased as he was clueless. Time has a way of catching up to all of us. Cremins on the other hand was both. When we got the big lead and FSU started coming back, he was openly cheering and pulling for them to win. I don’t believe I’ve ever seen anything like that in my life. It was truly embarrassing for him.

Season’s over, but I have another nomination for nickname for Lacey.

We like abbreviations, right? So it’s BB…for Buzzer Beater.

He did it every single time he had the opportunity, with the exception of the Wofford game where he made the shot but .1 second too late. He even did it in the LSU game by finding KH in the lane for the left handed hooker.

    BB Lacey.

Disappointed to lose but no negativity here. I like the way the future looks. It was a fun year and a lot of great wins, and we have a lot of guys showing what potential they have.
