I hope everyone got to see the Hoos smoke the Holes this afternoon. It will help take the sting out of anything bad that may happen tonight. I’m thinking those guys just don’t play as good when they have to go to class like everybody else.

This is great news. I thought he would come back because he is very smart and knows what he has a chance to do here. I believe he will be richly rewarded for this decision. This puts him squarely in the hunt for a Heisman. I’m serious, he is that good. He has plenty of help for next year to do something really special. We were close this year, and we should have just as good of a chance to compete for a championship and Finley could surely put up those kind of numbers next year. It could happen.

I agree with this and I could get behind that and enjoy the ride. But what I am seeing is Abu and Y7 regressing, a bigger, stronger Lennard getting fewer rebounds instead of more, and I am seeing no improvement on defense from the past. We’ve basically got the same team as last year with Al Freeman replacing DSJ. It’s not a good look. I just want to see some hope.

I have thought about this a lot, because Freeman has been getting on my nerves all year, even when we were beating the kupcakes. Somebody has to shoot and somebody has to score and there are not many options. The only answer to the question is to do a better job of pounding the ball in to Yurt, Lennard, and Abu, and let them attack the rim or pass it back out to the open man. The problem with Al Freeman is that he hogs the ball, doesn’t look to pass, tries to take on 2-3 defenders, and he has a terrible shot, especially when guarded. Playing as he does, he will get his points, but he shoots us out of the game doing it.

He sits very very little and for sure he does not let a few missed shots discourage him from keep putting them up
