We are as good as Turner and Lacey…..great perimeter defense on those two and you beat us……we have traded Warren for Turner/Lacey.
DD is the right guy at the right time for NC State. I love his attitude regarding NC State and our fan base. For once we have a guy that is down to earth, seemly happy to be here, says he’s willing to stay and knows how to recruit and game plan.
I am fully behind DD and what he is doing for NC State football.First, Gottfried is the best upgrade we have had since Valvano. At the time he was hired he was at least willing to give it a try here when nobody else would darken our door.
I will support this team as long as he is here but I am afraid he has reached his ceiling as a coach. He recruits offensive players but he does not teach good defense which is the key to winning college basketball games.Gottfried is Yow’s guy but she has said publicly too many times that you perform or we will find someone that can. The next coaching search will be much bigger with respect to finding the right guy. I would not want to speculate when that will happen but at some time it will…..
I hope that Gottfried and staff can turn this train wreck around but its going to take hard work and a great deal of discipline to do so…..we shall see.

The UNC-Cheater system in a nutshell.A win is a win no matter how ugly the offense plays. Defense was really the key to the game as they played an outstanding game….pick 6 was sweet.
A win is even better when the cheaters get blown out by the U.This really is a big deal. I don’t know how you get this to the AD’s and Presidents of the other universities but it is a priority.
The other thing this will do is make Carolina irrelevant over the last two decade if they have NO titles to show for their cheating efforts.The other question is what will Ross and the board of governors do? Since the cheaters are their prize school will they demand the same actions they took against NC State and Valvano or will they just ignore this and move on?
DD and staff are doing a very good job of recruiting talent. But you cannot recruit 85 players in one year and you have to take your lumps when you play freshmen is as many roles as we do currently. It’s frustrating to see us lose but I still back DD and this staff because I think they can get the job done.
Patience is not something we have as State fans. Yow will give DD 4 years to solve this problem. I think this will work out in the end.They score and make it 21-0 its over and i am going to the garden to weed my broccoli and collards so I’m ready for winter.
The NCAA is stepping in to save its own wicked soul. If the public finally understood that the NCAA knew about the cheating and accepted it then the backlash would destroy the NCAA. I expect another minor hand-slap but personally want the death penalty.
We were at rock bottom last year and the cabinet was bare. I have to give credit where it is due. DD has done a much better job at recruiting than the TOB staff. At least DD is willing to get out of his office and recruit unlike TOB and staff. I have to give DD at least 4 years just to get back to where we were before he came to State and no I am not giving up my season tickets as so many have said here lately.
As an alumnus I am proud of NC State, unlike the cheaters, really is the flagship university in this state when it comes to preparing people for the job force and the reality of the world we live in.I’m not saying that I will always support DD and staff but I have to give them the benefit of the doubt and the time to put their players on the field….it does not occur as fast in football as basketball.
Thanks you Debbie Yow for believing that we can be better and are deserving of better athletics at NC State…..go wolf pack.
It’s almost Friday in Chapel Hill and I for one want to witness the carnage when the hammer finally hits.
I wish Lewis the best but I am very disappointed in his recent behavior. Just because you don’t feel at home in a place does not give you the right to trash it either…..apparently staying classy is not his style and he must enjoy burning bridges. I hope he learns that burning bridges will burn you ass at times too.

Piss poor preparedness against the press and massively poor free throw shooting doomed this game.
Full 8 on 5 basketball in the second half and Duke will roll……we end up losing by 15 and then on to the NIT even though we deserve NCAA bid.
