ParticipantThe fear of Yow is interesting. She’s done in 2 years so is it really her or is the coaching community that’s paranoid of the blues? Find the guy who isn’t, can recruit, coach from the floor and move on.
graywolf
ParticipantHis decision either way would have no impact on the outcome of any game we play from this point on. I have no confidence that we will win again this season. I have turned my basketball attention to the wolfpack women’s team and greatly enjoy watching them play.
graywolf
ParticipantThis is a major accomplishment when you look at win-lose record over time compared to attendance. One can only imagine what would happen if we were to consistently win 8+ football games a year and 22+ a year in basketball against excellent competition.
I can say that our alumni/fans are the best in the country and an amazing group of people.

ParticipantIf there are no replacements in the near future to replace the twins then the next transfer needs to Gott himself.
Too bad Archie just got a new contract until 2023.03/10/2016 at 9:26 PM in reply to: Should Mens BBall Go Back to Reynolds? One former player thinks so. #101209graywolf
Participantcorrect me if i’m wrong but the new seating capacity for Reynolds is only 6000 and not 12,400 as before. So it won’t work as much as many would like.

ParticipantCat is gone as fast as a cheetah and I would not blame him. He has a family to look after and he needs to get while the getting is good.
graywolf
ParticipantThe sad thing is that if Cat is really gone then next year looks even worse than this year.

ParticipantI still miss V. Great coach and person.

ParticipantHe’s not earning his new pay scale tonight….getting killed by Bill and Mary, which is embarrassing. Pathetic.

ParticipantThey have officially sold their collective souls to the devil. They have no morals nor scruples in Chapel Hell.
graywolf
ParticipantDuke got the Swofford special and it does help the cheaters.
graywolf
ParticipantIf this keeps up we don’t win another game this year…..even losing another one in Winston. This fan base will not be pleased.
graywolf
ParticipantCount me in a proud of the effort and most of all the continued effort from the administration, AD, coaches and plays of all sports. The improvement of all olympic sports will eventually help both football and men’s basketball as well as the university as a whole.
The positive press we are getting vs the cheaters is killing the fan base over at the hill….thank you D. Yow.

ParticipantIt’s my hope that Roy’s since of relief comes at his new mountain retirement home very soon after being humiliated by the general public. Better yet. I hope that the men’s basketball team is left as a shell of its former self and they go through 30 years of purgatory just like we did.
One can dream.

ParticipantAs a state alumnus and fan your sentiments ring so true!

Participant“So Cat was throwing up before the game. Tough luck getting a virus on the biggest night for him. That would explain a lot. Gutty performance nonetheless.”
Maybe he gave the virus to Rozier.
On a positive note…Great season with a lot to build on for next year.

ParticipantThey both are lower than whale s*** but Carolina is still a little lower than ND.

Participantchoppack1 wrote As for next year, we should enjoy this year because we simply don’t know what next year will bring..aside from what the experience of being a middle-aged state fan has taught me”
I understand the sentiment: when you think things are finally looking up NC State s*** happens.
Also, you are correct when you say next year looks interesting at best. Who replaces Turner and where is our recruiting going at the current time?graywolf
ParticipantCONCLUSIONS
The conference is too big.
It is but its going to get bigger before it gets smaller. Rumors abound that espn and nbc are working on deal for ND to become full member in football and to add a 16th team to the league……it’s ALL about the TV money.

really
miss the old days of the ACC. Bigger is not always better and money will eventually destroy college athletics if it has not already.
graywolf
ParticipantNice win…..I’ll take this in large quantities please!
graywolf
ParticipantAs is our custom it seems were are in the driver’s seat as to what happens to us from this point on…..bottom line…..Just Win! and we are in the NCAAT.
graywolf
ParticipantMy vote was a solid 2. But, at this level it is always about winning even if we don’t like that philosophy.
Therefore, the whole debacle is on the shoulders of Gottfried and his staff. Either they have the guts to take control of this team or they don’t and if not then the whole program is going to spiral out of control.
Does he even care at this point or are there more things going on behind the scenes that we are not aware of as many have suggested on this and other boards…if so then this problem will get worse.
I hope I am wrong……graywolf
ParticipantI’m with Lawful and Kahn……sos just a different day.
graywolf
ParticipantTurner was 4 out of 10 while Lacey was 4 out of 13 for the night. We are as good as Turner and Lacey are that given night. When they don’t shoot well then we are not very good against ACC teams.
graywolf
ParticipantThat’s the game….
