Thanks for all the info. Very informative and interesting. When you schedule these lower named teams the margin of error as it relates to competitiveness is much greater. Boise State and the Woffards are no locks to be good any year.
My question is how flexible is the basketball schedule? In football teams schedule years in advance and by that time that team will be in a down cycle. I assume that the flexibility is greater in basketball. I also think that the with the opportunities to go pro at different times in both sports plays a huge roll in scheduling. Trying to project what players they have coming back and the coach that team may have are difficult at best. Example if the Pack scheduled the Shockers two years from now and Marshall leaves are they going to be the same team? Are the buy outs similar to what they are in football? On the surface I wouldn’t think so. What is the lead time to buy out in comparison to say football?
I will not be mad if we lose this weekend as long as we give great effort. This season has been fun to follow. With that said I just have this feeling they wil at least make it to the final four.
I think when it is all said and done we will be comparing which was the bigger upset, beating Houston or beating Kentucky. Just remember where you heard it first. ????. If not then I have drinking problem.

I was watching this morning and I think (Seth)Greenburg meant Michigan State when commenting about who will make it.
The Pack has to hope that Villinova goes a little cold. If they shoot at the clip that they have most of the season the pack will have a tough time keeping it close never mind actually winning the game.
I am at the beach. When they missed their forth or fifth freethrow I looked at my buddy and said the Pack would win this game. It was about three or four minute mark. Pack still down by three. I just knew it. This was one from a higher power. Maybe my dad? Even though he went to Clemson he loved my team. When I watched the NC IN 1983 we got down and I was about to cry. I was 12. He looked at me and said son, don’t worry they will win this…I believed him. I guess everyone knows the rest of the story.
I thank hats another reason why this game sacred me. We should win. We all know what happens when that’s the case.
Guys I wish for that as well BUT we have to win the first one. This game scares the crap out of me. They played KY very close. They play like that again and it will be a long night. I am of the mindset we do need some offense from our bigs. This will open up the play for our guards.
Is it me or does anyone else think Gonzaga is overrated? I have only seen them play once but they didn’t impress me at all.

Don’t sleep on Northern Iowa. Louisville will have all they can handle with them. If the Pack are fortunate to get to the sweet 16 I would not be surprised with a match up them.
I have to trust your comment Beej. I don’t know much about OK, but their record is not indicative of a three seed. What was their OOC strength of schedule?
