Vandy up on the Gamecocks 10-0 in the 2nd.

And App State up 13-3 over Tenn in the 3rd.

    They’ll be insufferable.

    Better than UT winning though.

Wow that was pitiful. The defense is soft.

That was not a busted play. The pack can’t get out of their own way.

Not to be a downer but these screen passes will not work as often against good athletes.

It’s always funny to see the reaction when someone disagrees with the company line around here.

Not sure what you are trying to say here. I agree with some of the latest assessment of the team. I am on record of 6-6 or 5-7. I think this team will be somewhat better but have a worse record. The schedule is so damn tough. It all comes down to QB play or lack of it. I just thought it was cheap shot to say I told you so about a kid who has no control where he grows up and plays ball. Most kids who come from the small schools don’t make it but more than you think do. I know it was an indictment on DD but if that kid had gone to USC and had a career worth fawning over people would have ripped him from letting him get away. Recruiting is so hit and miss it’s silly to sit back and say I told you so over the success or lack there of a 18 year old kid.

I do think DD will have to win 6 and beat UNC to keep the seat from getting hot. It takes at least four years to get your system and players in the program. He deserves the support this year and next. Sounds cliché but this year is important for his job status. If they go 6-6 or better the vibe around the program will be positive enough to flow into the recruiting trail. 5-7 might be ok if the program has a signature a win. If it is worse than that it’s over. Not this year, though. He will coach 2017 season. The recruiting will suffer and DD will lose the fan base.

I like McCallum because his hit and run tactics make grown men whine on the internet.

I like how you think you are funny.

I like ice cream. Who cares. I just can’t stand his hit and run tactics with nothing to support it and tons of evidence where a kid comes from a small school and does well. It just reeks of lazy analysis.

All I know is some “analyst” undergraduate on this site told me how good Fraiser was going to be after I questioned the FACT that he couldn’t get his high school team to the state championship at the 1A level.

They will be lucky the win 6.

Fire him, go after Dan Mullen.

    McCallum

I understand you don’t post as often as maybe you once did but you must be a sad little man. Yeah I get your comments are an indictment of Doreen not the kid but you stay away for while and comeback to troll for things to say “I told you so”. You really don’t add anything insightful or useful for that matter. Why don’t you put your ideas or opinions on here? Oh that’s right you are only a keyboard cowboy. Don’t be afraid. If they are actually insightful we may have some legitimate debates. Otherwise make your bed, and go outside and play.

Prediction.. 5-7 or 6-6. This talk of two quarterbacks rotating scares the hell out of me. You know the saying.

As for UN*, I just don’t think Mitch T. has the balls to be the #1 guy for the entire season. Teams will load the box on them and we will see if he has it.

If our “leaders” and I use that term very lightly and the surrounding communities wanted NC state to feel like something other than a commuter school, they would make sure that nc state students and employees had a place to play within walking distance.

I don’t know if the recent growth of Glenwood qualifies. Nor do I know if downtown Raleigh does qualifies either. I do know that whenever centrally located party zones arise, the campus either actively shuts them down (Brent road), tailgates, or appears to quietly let them die.

I can’t blame them. After all, it’s much easier to accept our athletic futility and pull for the neighboring schools when you dont have an emotional connection to the school itself. And if you are a commuter school, the after action activities of the students aren’t your problem…you just want their money for tuition and books.

My hope is the land(Dorthea Dix) they purchased(stole from the state depending on your perspective) could be that place to play. It depends on how they decide to construct it. There is talk they want it to be Raleigh’s version of Central Park. That is not far from the campus especially by bicycle.

I have said before this is the beginning of the end of the NCAA. At least the version we are familiar with. I NEVER would have said this before but if this is what it takes to compete then cheat your ass off Yow! If you are not willing to do that, which I would have no problem with if that was the decision, then do not play them anymore. This is one giant middle finger to the NCAA.

    Re…..Pat Summit graduation rate.

Google the above. UT says that all 161 of her players completed the requirements.

Several sources on this and comments.

Lady BB rate is almost 90%.

Roo, you don’t have to look any further than the cesspool to the west to realize those graduation rates are more than likely fraudulent. Have you learned nothing the last 5 years? All of the cheating in college sports is done to keep the woman’s basketball programs competitive.

I think the pattern of undrafted NC State players, many who are just as good or better than UNC and other ACC players who are drafted, shows the lack of respect the NBA scouts have had for our program.

I see most of the top players drafted on the basis of potential talent, like the typical players from Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville and a few other schools. When you get deep into the second round, players who don’t have as much talent but do have skills work their way in, mainly the Europeans. The Pack seldom lands a player with First Round talent, and apparently the NBA doesn’t think “marginal” players, like Cat, have the necessary skills to make it. I don’t agree that Cat fits this mold, but that’s the way I think the NBA sees it.

As said before, until we get an AD who gets it about what it’ll take to return to ACC relevance, the same ole same ole will continue for us. Apparently we have a boatload of young and somewhat talented players coming in next season, but somehow I see us still struggling just to get into the upper half of the ACC. And with Lutz gone, that’s a more likely scenario.

I absolutely guarantee that we will finish lower than in pre-season projections.

I just want to make sure I don’t forget this guarantee. I am heading to Vegas next week and this is the surest thing I have come across. I will put several Franklin’s on this projection. If you are not right I am going to be very disappointed that I ever trusted your word.

CC is going to make sure they fight to the end. Both teams are pushing the envelope on the base path.

Who would have thought the last two teams that eliminated the Pack would be facing each other to advance? Only happens to the Pack. I guess this is what irony feels like.

Point for the younger crowd – never get too low or too high. I am excited with the additions but I have not seen any of them in a full ACC level BB game. So consider that as well as consider the ledge jumping ..

Very good advice and always something I try to keep in mind, not only with NCSU athletics, but also life in general.
Admittedly, I’m often not successful keeping this in mind in either case.

Admitting you have a problem is the first step to clarity. Me, personally, I don’t care if I am delusional until the day I croak. Life is better that way.
