Riding along on a carousel
Will I catch up to youThe Hollies.
Just sayin’.
GoldenChainParticipantI missed mass today.
Came back to this thread for penance.
3 Hail Mary’s and a good Act of Contrition should do it.
Dude, you’re freaked.
GoldenChainParticipantWOW! This thread is getting DEEP!
GoldenChainParticipantPentecostals are strong throughout the piedmont so I grew up in the Pentecostal church but with reformed Presbyterian ideals.
Good gawd: the Frozen Chosen……
I’m more the Free Will/Arminian myself.
BUT glad you play with REAL yard darts!
GoldenChainParticipantYogi my right hand looks better than she does.
GoldenChainParticipantI also want to say this: that Charlotte mayor is the gawd awfullest looking female I have ever seen. She is fugly! If she went into a mens room no one would question it so what’s her deal?!
After a nuclear holistic if she and I were the only people left alive then mankind would go extinct!
GoldenChainParticipantTonite’s Carousel Menu:
Country style Pork Ribs — slow cooked 4hrs in a molasses based sauce…
Fresh Cole Slaw with mayo and a dash of mustard…
All American — Red, White & Blue — New Taters boiled in butter…
Baked Puerto Rican Red Sweet Taters…
Garlic Bread…POP!!!
Bill try a dash of fresh horseradish in that slaw.
GoldenChainParticipantWulf I just want to say the “hungry wolf” is my absolute favorite logo.
GoldenChainParticipantDaddy wasn’t worth a damn but he gave me one thing, my Pentecostal/Presbyterian raising has kept it under control all these years.
I channel that energy into sarcasm and lawn darts.
McCallum
2 things:
I hope that Presbyterian was PCA and not USA. If its USA then you should be “all-in” on the LBGT thing! Besides, the Holy Ghost would have struck you dead for mentioning P-USA and Pentecostal in the same sentence!
If you were raised Pentecostal and P-USA its no wonder your’re such a tortured soul!2nd thing:
I hope by lawn darts you are referring to *REAL* lawn darts, the kind that were 14″ long, had a weight and a 3″ spike on the end! Not these badminton cocks on steroids they try to pass off as lawn darts today.
First they try to pass of badminton cocks as lawn darts then they try to convince boys its OK if they feel like going to the womens john! Poor kids don’t stand a chance.GoldenChainParticipantYou guys are gonna be sorry you fired that guy when you see the kumbaya moments this week as the Pack finally comes together to capture the ACCT crown for the 1st time since 87 and get that automatic dance ticket punched.
He’s been saying all year this team has a streak in ’em!
GoldenChainParticipantI think the true TG folks out there hate this entire episode in the state’s history. Forever they just used whatever bathroom they used and no paid any attention … or at least left them alone. Now all the big mouth political folks are shining a spotlight on them.
And I don’t care what side you’re on, I have never in my 59 years seen a ‘bathroom monitor’ checking IDs or doing a ‘crotch check’ before someone could enter the john. So what the h#ll are we arguing about? Something that’s totally unenforceable regardless of which side you’re. So really its just an argument for arguments sake. Its not that anything can or will be done about it in reality.
Losers: minimum wage employees who work the special events venues. They’re trying to get by and pay some bills but this unenforceable philosophical argument is more important than they are.
Other losers: towns, communities, possible employees, and taxpayers who don’t get the benefit of the companies that would have otherwise moved here if this unenforceable philosophical argument wasn’t going on.But hey, all the arguers don’t care about ‘those people’ they only care about their opinions because, after all, ‘they got theirs’. Their jobs, money, security and all.
And you know what? Today in NC people who looked like women went to women’s bathrooms and people who looked like men went to men’s restrooms and no one noticed and there were no incidents. Same thing will happen, next week, next month, next decade, next century.
GoldenChainParticipantCome on BJD, we aren’t close minded like the bathroom Luddites.
bdaz, that you for posting, we welcome your thoughtful and insightful ideas.
Please share more!02/25/2017 at 3:26 PM in reply to: Your “something something Thomas Jefferson something something” UVa Open Thread #119149GoldenChainParticipantHeard a tidbit on the post game show that in home acc games our opponents shot 51% from the 3 point line.
Impressive.
That doesn’t surprise me at all. Seems like every team we’ve played has some kid that’s been 18% from 3 and goes off for 7 of 10 against us. But yeah, when the average is probably 30%, 51% is stellar! “When you play NCSU double team Smith and shoot 3’s and you’ll win!”
02/25/2017 at 3:06 PM in reply to: Your “something something Thomas Jefferson something something” UVa Open Thread #119142GoldenChainParticipantComeon Plywood, Gott is loved by his players! Anya only wishes he had another year so he could either transfer or gain another 45#.
Wulf figured, just picking.
GoldenChainParticipantBilas/Gnmiski/Kilgo will be saying the Clemson job is better than the State job
02/25/2017 at 2:39 PM in reply to: Your “something something Thomas Jefferson something something” UVa Open Thread #119136GoldenChainParticipantRegarding the NIT, last year they took FSU, VT and GT.
VT was 10-8 in conference.
FSU and GT were each 8-10.
My guess is this year NIT bids will be reserved for the likes of Wake, GT and Clemson, assuming they miss out on the NCAA Tourney.
I hope you weren’t think somehow we would be in that mix…. we were 12-3 and now we’re 15-15. Would you hire someone with such a stellar resume?.
02/25/2017 at 2:34 PM in reply to: Your “something something Thomas Jefferson something something” UVa Open Thread #119134GoldenChainParticipantOh…and …way to go out with your heads up er, down. College ball is such a fickle thing, such a change in 2 years. Why can’t this happen elsewhere in the triangle?!
GoldenChainParticipantAnyone hear anything on Sean Miller?
SURE DID! I heard he was waiting for roywonderboy to retire. Said that with the way unx “accommodated” athletes he’d be national champion every year.
GoldenChainParticipantI think its amusing how all these programs do the ‘self punishment’ in a preemptive strike to avoid a much worse punishment. Of course you could take the approach some ‘other’ programs have taken and told the NC2A how wrong they are.
GoldenChainParticipantNot sure if this has been mentioned but Archie’s wife is a State alumni and from Rowan county where her family lives. There may be some internal family pressure to give some additional consideration to the State job.
Of course Archie’s dad doesn’t want his grandbabies down where the evil in-laws have easy access to them! The life of a college coach is hard on a marriage and a family so keeping momma happy can’t be ignored.
GoldenChainParticipantWhat are you taking about? BJS IS on the internal search committee!
GoldenChainParticipantYou know you guys have a point.
While I respect that Gott wanted to stay for his kids, the idea of moving up an assistant for an audition is true.
The best example: Bowden>Swinney
Bowden resigned (? really) mid-season and Swinney, an assistant, stepped in. They made him HC and I thought “this is a scab until they can get someone”.
How did that work out?!
Also proves there are plenty of good people out there that aren’t A-listers. V wasn’t an A lister.GoldenChainParticipantInteresting thought and possible fanistan. But really those sorts of things can and do happen and at the end of teh day we (me anyway) wants someone to come because they want to come.
GoldenChainParticipantGoing with what BJD says, taking a shot at Archie we MUST pony up $$$$ wise and not think he’ll come for less “for old time sake”. Plus we have to be prepared to keep it going if he (or any A-lister) comes and is successful, meaning we have to be looking at getting to the most elite money to keep him.
GoldenChainParticipantAnd I understand that argument too. But let me ask this: even if Gott turns it around and ends in a flurry is he really still worth keeping? Would his body of work last season and this indicate this is an anomaly or a trend. As has been pointed out elsewhere he a patch it together guy, he’s not a program builder. Plus he obviously doesn’t endear himself to his players.
