So time for the cheats to release some more self found infractions. I ponder who it will be this time. Watch out women’s soccer or field hockey teams.

What is this about scripture games. A person said that a Bible should be read. So it was and shred. What is this about pick your verse a wide selection of verses was given about a specific idea. It was not presented as this is the way to solve this problem. It was just shared because someone suggested reading it.

I find it interesting that the religious leader Buddah sayings were shared and no one got upset about it. Share a few Bible verses and what is the proper term of the response? Seems Budah quote needed to be applied to the quoter.

No one said anything about the Bible trumping anything. Why make stuff up?

II Thess. 3:6-12 – 6 Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you keep away from any brother who is walking in idleness and not in accord with the teaching that you received from us. 7 For you yourselves know how you ought to imitate us, because we were not idle when we were with you, 8 nor did we eat anyone’s bread without paying for it, but with toil and labor we worked night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you. 9 It was not because we do not have that right, but to give you in ourselves an example to imitate. 10 For even when we were with you, we would give you this command: If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat. 11 For we hear that some among you walk in idleness, not busy at work, but busybodies. 12 Now such persons we command and encourage in the Lord Jesus Christ to do their work quietly and to earn their own living.

I Tim. 5:7-8 – 7 Command these things as well, so that they may be without reproach. 8 But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

Eph. 4:28 – 28 Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need.

Prov. 14:31 – Whoever oppresses a poor man insults his Maker, but he who is generous to the needy honors Him.

Matt. 19:21 – 21 Jesus said to him, “If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”

Gal. 2:10 – 10 Only, they asked us to remember the poor, the very thing I was eager to do.

James 2: 14-16 – 14 What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that?

Here is a sampling of some verses that might be applicable.

I think a good thing to do is to put all of these verses (and others like them) together to get a fully orbed view as one of my professors used to tell me. One thing that might be good to note is that most of these verses were written to believers and followers of God and the Lord Jesus, Christ. They seem to be intended for one person to another or a church to a community.

Without going into all the verses (Exodus, Leviticus, Deuteronomy) God did set some national policies for His dealings with Israel as a nation about the poor. They poor were not to be taken advantage of. They were to help the poor if they choose to lend money without interest, leaving some crops in the field so that the poor and needy could get them, they were to be helped with an open hand. There also seemed to be some limits set on debt collection so if some people lent to much then they might be out of luck collecting. Just some thoughts in general. There may be a few other things but it would take more remembering and studying then what I want to do right now.

Reports of children and adults being beaten and threatened for supporting Trump. I think it is wise to keep an eye on hate crimes.

I am glad that our db’s left in isolation did not slip down and allow a badly thrown pass to be caught for a score. The single coverage allowed the Pack to stop the run imo.

What game plan has a chance of working against Clemson, run the ball to shorten the game and keep it out of Clemson offensive hands and then run it some more maybe?
