I don’t think we have to worry about Arch going to Indiana. They probably think that they can get a power 5 coach or maybe even a certain Pro coach. They might consider Marshall as their floor.
It is a destination if you want to uphold the winning tradition. It is a stepping stone out of town if you do not.
I thought it was the other way Bass. I thought he was saying it would be a quality road win for the other team going to his place to try and sell the home and home and that is why he gave his teams RPI.
If Lutz would have stayed do you guys think the D would have been just good to make firing Gott questionable. Like many have been pointing out, Gott kind of made his own bed. Wish all the best to Lutz. I hope Gott gets a coaching job tomorrow too.

If the article’s I have read recently are correct then Espn is laying off talent. The reason Gott is being talked up is they don’t want any more competition in a shrinking job market.
Thanks guys for what turned out to be an encouraging thread. One of the things Jesus said about the church kind of haunts me and may be one of the biggest spots on the body of Christ that we will have to answer for is that the world is supposed to know that we are Christ’s disciples because of the love we have for each other. To a lib everything is political. Different mind set. They want the federal government in charge of everything. The hoi polloi are just incapable of being responsible for themselves they need big brother to think and make decisions for them.
Coaches word was that he wanted to keep “coaching” for the guys. Of course it should have been done earlier that is part of the point. I hope it is never to late to start doing right. Not that I expected him too.
Who do you put in for Mav, that is more dependable imo is the wrong question. You put the next best guy in for Mav if you are trying to send a message. Maybe someone who is hungry for playing time. You know the person coming in is probably not as dependable as Mav but what you are doing is building for the future. I need Mav my good player to do right more of the time. Be consistent in the year doing that and you might get through to the player. Hey Mav or whoever if you do not do X you will sit. It does not have to be sitting forever but make the point.
You tell the player coming in don’t take stupid shots, block out and rebound, work your butt off on D and you will see more playing time.

OK I find it strange that he is finishing out the season. It does not seem the players are playing for him or each other or for pride. Maybe a different face would help. Or it at least it sends the message if you mess up you are gone. Interim coach could say don’t play d I will set you on the pine might carry some weight then.
