Sometimes you have to climb down in order to climb back up. Yes, I am stealing 30 Rock lines. Burn PNC to the ground and build a 15,000 seat arena on campus that is specifically designed to amplify sound as suggested by so many fans on SFN. I know it would be a financial boondoggle for us but we have zero home field advantage. Scott Wood always talked about the poor lighting. How much are we blowing on a Reynolds upgrade.
It’s too bad the ACC didn’t just go ahead and schedule us an at syracuse and an at Pittsburgh doubleheader yesterday so that we could have stuck a fork in this –itpile already.
I prefer Shifting Gears by Lalo Schifrin. This team needs to watch that 10 minutes of visual heaven before every game and perhaps the concept of “initiating contact” will finally sink in. PNC fans need to chant it and wear it on t-shirts. INITIATE —– CONTACT.

Lee, you appear to have a quick first step and great stamina, Attack the Rim! Lee, you play solid defense and get some rebounds so reward yourself and Attack the Rim! Did one of our coaches have this conversation with Lee at any time during the game??? Lee finally drives the paint at the .15 second mark and gets fouled. For god’s sake Lee,please don’t be the next Grundy where you start to penetrate and score when the game is all but lost. You have the talent and we need someone, anyone to step up to the plate now. Drive to the basket and get fouled 20 times every game and the made Ft’s will help your three shot. ATTACK THE RIM!!!!!

Thanks for the write-up. State plays at Duke on Saturday and then at home versus Maryland on Monday. Short time period. To say this is a huge game is a captain obvious understatement. I wonder what Turner’s shooting percentage would be on squared-up, balanced shots. I’m praying for him to start working as hard as Scoot Wood did in terms of getting open for a shot. We also have games on March 1st and 3rd. I hope all of the other ACC teams have an equal number of short turnarounds. I want to have a positive Cat Attack tonight where my number of Yes! screams exceed my number of No! screams. Phrasing. Go Pack!!!
I was at the Carolina Classic in Greensboro throwing batteries at the ACC refs and cheering on Harvard’s BB team at the tender age of four.
Going to Bank of America stadium now. Will have the crowd spell out dogbreath in honor of a huge fan that can’t be there in person. Go black cats!!
NCSU88 – It appears Jordan took Fundamentals of Oral Communication in the fall of 1982. Let me guess, a UNC law student meets Michael for breakfast during happy hour at a bar and simply states “Never put anything in writing and you just got yourself another A.” I really love the class titles of the meat and potato courses required to round out a B A in geography. The same classes he would have taken his senior year if he had stayed four years. Map Interpretation, Special Projects, Special Studies, Topics in Geor. and Spec Topics/Media. I know one thing, Hairston would still be playing if his transgression had occurred any time in the past four decades. That doesn’t seem like much to outsiders but I know A dozen UNC grads -itching up a storm that he isn’t playing. What’s even more comical is that they blame State. They live in a bubble and any punishment feels a 1000 fold when compared to the average person. These articles cut very deep indeed.
The under 6 second Pitt layup is just another teachable moment for Gott. The Pitt players crossed and vandy switched while Cat did not. If that ia what coach wanted, then so be it. I just remember looking at my son and asking how did that happen from the .49 to .43 second mark. Now this is based on alcohol soaked gray matter recall which means faces and timing may be way off but that’s how I remember it. My nerves would appreciate it if State had a 30 point lead late in the UVA game. Provided we aren’t giving up four second 2s or 3s. Solid win and it was fun to watch minus the stress.
UVA gives me night terrors because they remind me of our decade with the “wood chopper”. State, throw an old boy a Virginia ham and win comfortably the last five minutes. Go Pack!
