Fastback68Participant
20 point lead. That’s some good -hit.
Fastback68ParticipantShaft with the block.
Fastback68ParticipantLet’s go Irish.
Fastback68ParticipantAfter watching several cuse games and in particular vs. clemson, State won’t have much of a chance of winning that game if somebody can’t consistently hit the “open” mid-range jumper. There have been times this season that Washington so reminded me of Painter I was surprised no one started calling him Pringles II. I can’t argue the math stats or his current slump but do you risk shattering his confidence by slashing his minutes in tonight’s game or let him take 6-8 shots to find his groove. I don’t know what is worse, Lee’s utter refusal to attempt wide open shots at any distance or Washington going 0-8 on open mid-range jumpers. Love Freeman, but there is definite hesitation on his offensive side as well. Coaching is a -itch of a job. Anyway, I think it’s our turn for a fun game to watch.
Fastback68ParticipantShould be an interesting close to the season. Maryland vs. UVA, Duke, Cuse, Clem/ FSU vs UNX, Pitt, Cuse/ Clemson vs. Cuse, UVA, Pitt/ UNX vs 2Duke, Pitt, FSU, State. Pack will have their shots at moving up. Sorry TJ, I know your back is already sore but this is where you have to crank it up a few more notches. Good Luck and Go Pack!
Fastback68ParticipantStill LMAO. Nobody and I mean Nobody plays basketball like NC State. Crazy ball. Back to .500. Good Times.
Fastback68ParticipantHas ANY former ACC qb won the Super Bowl? None that I can think of. Boomer lost.
Fastback68ParticipantWhy does Pam Oliver always look like she just rolled out of bed after a three day drunk feast.
Fastback68ParticipantSome things don’t change. Fox pisses away a time out.
Fastback68ParticipantAnya, give us five bone crushing fouls and maybe whoever coined the KH nickname will switch it to Shaft. Seriously hope the big guy is okay.
Fastback68ParticipantWake Forest decides to join the .500 club.
Fastback68ParticipantSo damn proud right now. State found a way to win. A mini-fade but they dug in. Nice RPI win and a tiebreaker at yearend hopefully.
Fastback68ParticipantThe current 6 through 10 seeds are Clemson, FSU, State, Maryland and UNX. There have been only two teams to finish with a .500 league record in the last five years but there have been multiple tie ups at the 9-7 mark. Wins against FSU (27 RPI) and Clemson are critical for tiebreaker status to add to Maryland. Nobody knows where State is headed but I did watch 9 players score and get rebounds, along with 6 guys making assists and 6 making steals against GT. Isn’t that the definition of team without a head case. Home games against WF, UNX, Miami, BC and at Clemson, Miami and VT are winnable. We have chances, although slim, at signature RPI wins with FSU, Syracuse and Pittsburgh. Get to .500 at a minimum or 10-8 in ACC play with crucial wins over FSU, Clemson and Maryland and let tiebreakers propel us to the six or seven seed. State will need 2-3 victories in the ACCT.
I hate to say it but UNX replaces Wake Forest as the current fifth seed by regular season end. The top four remain in place. UVA doesn’t fade until the ACCT and/or NCAAT. In the mean time, win tonight GT. State find a way to beat FSU.
Fastback68ParticipantBy all means, finish your thought VaWolf82. 13-7 in 1983 or 13-7 in 2014 is the only comparison I made. The game itself, the coaching staffs and the players are vastly different. Nobody then or now has any idea how this team turns out. If they did, they could have stuck it to every book in Vegas then or now.
Fastback68ParticipantState was also 13-7 in 1983, the ultimate WTF is this season. The fan base at the time would have had this same conversation. We aren’t dead yet and won’t be until the ACCT is over. Tip of the hat to TJ Warren. 42 out of 45 minutes, 7 of 12, 1-1 from 3 and game winner. More bad -ss than bad ankle.
Fastback68ParticipantYes, that call can be made by a real ref and should have been called two years ago at acct.
Fastback68ParticipantPig forgets to take dump on rainbow in regulation period. Will he wake up???
Fastback68ParticipantLee, Taking It The Rim!!!
Fastback68ParticipantWarren’s tweaked ankle should force Gott to reduce his high average of 38 minutes played per game which is a good thing. TJ looks to be in great shape but maybe the fatigue is hurting his production at times. The Maryland game showed that others can and should carry the additional load when Buckets is not on the floor. Go Pack! Need another end of game jig by Gott.
Fastback68Participant6:25 kickoff is all the information I need to know.
Fastback68Participant“I find a massive audience groan more satisfying than laughter.” Seth Meyers.
Fastback68ParticipantThanks for another interesting post. State is going to the big dance so sit back and enjoy the ride in the Cat bird / WBS seat.
01/22/2014 at 3:59 PM in reply to: 2014 NC State Football Schedule is Out with Quick Thoughts #38127Fastback68ParticipantWorst to first!
Fastback68ParticipantThanks foose. LMAO. Willing to share kindling or angel dust cigars next football season but may not have to with a real o-line. PP this morning says we are now done with PACK14 and are now turning recruits away. Plus with fewer schollies we are going to be more selective with PACK15. Perhaps I am sleep toking.
Fastback68ParticipantThere is some smoke in that pile of kindling. Had no idea that TJ had a sprained ankle from the Duke game. Since I don’t know which was better, State hitting shots, driving hard to the rim initiating contact and winning without Buckets over the turtles versus the ESPN scroll about Will Richardson switching from TOB to the Pack, I am going to just sit here with my coffee and smile about both. There were a lot of frustrating losses in 1983. Just saying!!!
