Well, so much for our much heralded defense.

At the risk of sounding like Donald Trump, ” the system is rigged” and has been for quite a while. I won’t be watching either. The adoration of the media was evident in the semi finals when the announcers commented about how “open and forthright” UNC had been in the investigations. Bullsh*t!

Go Pack!I never thought we’d get a “name” hire. Keatts has a good resume in that he turned around a mess and won championships at the lower level. I wish we had more visibility to longer term consistency of performance but if we did he probably would have been picked up by another bigger name school. Welcome to the Pack!
Unlike “past results” in the stock market,in hiring and organizational behavior past actions are indicative of future behavior and results. This is the basis brhind the Targeted Selection hiring process. In the case of NCSU, we have 30 years of hiring and accepting mediocrity on the part of ADs and Administrations. Who or where is the change agent to expect anything different? Are we to believe it’s DY? Expectations are higher than with Fowler but that’s not real hard. Really not hard. Does anyone have examples that demonstrate why we should hope for better this time around? I’m not being critical – just been down this road before and have low expectations.
Seth Greenbutg is a lot of hot air for someone who couldn’t keep a basketball job at a football school but he may have called it right that State is a team looking forwstd to the end of the season. I know we fans are or at least this one.
Stopped in a sports bar in Augusta to get lunch and watch the game. TVs everywhere. I had to tell them that there was a game being played and where to find it. No interest. And now, after finding it, I realize that I shouldn’t have had any either.
I have tickets to the Clemson game and am dreading having to sit with the IPTAY faithful.
I guess I’ll fall back on the old and too often used line that it’s easy to be a fan of a winning program but it takes real loyalty to be a Pack fan.Damn. I went to dinner while on the road and the game is on in the restaurant. So I’m watching this train wreck.
I guess the bar tab will be a big one.If Gott leaves or is fired I think getting Archie is wishful thinking. We will end up with an “up and comer” like a Matt McCall or a Dana Ford or a retread. I have no confidence in our ability to attract a proven commodity. That’s okay, V was an up and comer from Iona. But it is hit or miss…and we have wiffed a lot.

Almost too apathetic to post.Had the game on but didn’t pay attention other than to check the score occasionally. It went as expected.
However, I didn’t hear which one of the opposing players had a career game today? I’m thinking of starting a pool to bet on that stat for each of the remaining games – that might generate some interest in the rest of the season, or at least to check the box scores.A little better than struggling against ODU and Sister Mary’s school for the blind to start off. Marshall and Furman for the “cupcakes” will hopefully NOT be a big challenge and provide just enough confidence going into conference play.
