EdMarParticipant
I’m starting to believe that its it time for Gott to go, but there is no point in that if we replace him with another great hire like Less, Herb or Sidney. One positive of the basketball situation is that I no longer loose sleep over our games.
EdMarParticipantThat was one of the most exciting games that I have seen at Carter (74 Grad). Although it was sloppy, It felt that every single play could determine the outcome, a slip by a DB, a fumble, a bad punt, even a simple hand off could end in disaster. Most of the fans stood throughout the game. It was tense and fun. Good job Pack?

EdMarParticipantGetting ready to drive two hours in the rain, sit for 3.5 hrs, in the rain and drive another two in the wind and rain. It will ALL be worth it with a victory over ND.
Good luck to every one in the path of the storm. Be generous after the storm and do not forget the poor people Haiti.EdMarParticipantHave to leave in 30 minutes to get there in time! Weatherman says around 90% chance of thunderstorms all during the game. Would they cancel! Would they suspend and go back to play in between cells. Any idea?
EdMarParticipantThe NCAA may not apply the correct penalty… but at least Villanova did!
EdMarParticipantLooks bad… but did any of the ones that transferred played a lot at their new schools? Noticed that Tyler Lewis rode the pine, played one minute in their last game. Purvis was decent…did he do Ok with his new team? Painter? Harris? Raymond?.
I think the transfer/going to NBA problem is pretty common. The Winston-Salem Paper had a recent write about WF and they are averaging 2-3 a year…transfers, suspensions, etc.EdMarParticipantWhere do the attendance numbers come from?. What are they counting? Tickets sold plus some guess on the students, maybe tickets sold and issued to students but not bodies on the seats! Maybe they add you when you come back after half time. The attendance at State’s game last week was stated at just a few hundreds short of capacity. That was not the game I was at! I would say we had 46 to 50K at most. We had the corners fairly empty, the end zone student sections were half full, the main student area had some gaps, even the small section where recruits seat was half full. Did we hire the guy from UNC-Cheat that does the counting? If anyone one believes those numbers I have some beach front property in Kansas to sell you!
EdMarParticipantThe way we have played this year one great game followed by one bad. I would say FG% 42.4%, 3PT FG%-20.8%, 11 TO was the “BAD ONE” so we have the next one in the bag!!!!
Go Pack!
EdMarParticipantNot absolutely a must win, but if we lose one of the games this week we might need a fantastic streak at the end of the year to make the tourney. We have games in which: the twins do well, Abu, Anya and Washington score, Barber and company play good defense. Turner and Lacey cannot miss from three and we avoid getting in foul trouble. Is it too much to ask for the remainder of the year to have two or three of these combinations work on the same game?
EdMarParticipantI agree with a lot of the comments here, but the difference might have been as simple as 2 of 9 FT and a young over excited Abu missing several tap ins, getting quick fouls and not getting “a little” help from Freeman and Anya. I do not think we can win any games in which Abu + Anya + Freeman = Zero points.
EdMarParticipantSpeaking of crooks… Did you see where our friend Karl Hess managed to offend the former chairman of Wake Forest Univ. board of trustees at the recent Louisville game?
EdMarParticipantGood game Team
“This is a blue collar school, this is a work ethic hands in the dirt school. It is an agricultural school, it is textile school, it is an engineering school founded by tough people, and that is what this football team will be and that is what we were today…..” DD
EdMarParticipantFive games in eight days and one of the point guards with the flu… Maybe that had something to do with the last ten minutes of the game.
EdMarParticipantCongratulationz TJ! Thank you for the hard work, being a Legacy player and a good role model. You are already one on the best State players ever and you can become one of the most loved by playing one more year. Just hoping!!
I cannot imagine what this year would have been without you

EdMarParticipantThanks, I guess I’m not up on the Notre Dame deal. They are in the ACC but their games do not count on the ACC! Ok, makes perfect sense!
EdMarParticipantSome teams are playing 9 ACC games and some are playing 8. Was that a contractural glitch or is that an option?
EdMarParticipantDo not like it. Better tickets sales because students will not pickup all their tickets but both schools will loose their “HOME” adavantage.
EdMarParticipantHow many commits are you allowed in one year? We have 28 and still hard after 3 or 4 more?
EdMarParticipantI loved Roy’s answers to the question about the CNN story following their game against UM.
“I don’t believe it”
“It is not fair”
“I’m proud of all our kids we brought in”
“In the ten recrutitng classes I had, we have not had any kids like that”
“In the last ten years we have only had one senior not graduate”The last statement is probably true, it is easy to graduate when you can take multiple phantom classes!
EdMarParticipantHow many recruits are Div. 1 schools allowed to sign in one year? It looks like we already have about 24 commitments but still after 4 or 5 more? Thanks
EdMarParticipantIt’s getting better all the time…

Reporter- Coach, You seemed really animated on the sidelines about the refereeing. What was your general feeling about the officiating today?
Gott – Can’t talk about that or you get fined. (10 seconds go by before the next question is asked.
