it is what it is. We are a penny-pinching, bottom-feeding athletics department. Our budget uniforms looked like they were bought at the jockey lot. I heard we only paid to send half our band to a bowl game 120 miles from campus. All this for a nationally televised game that provides a window into your university for a captive audience. That tells you everything you need to know about what kind of commitment our school has to putting forward a championship-caliber program. We are staring down the 3-9 barrel next year as the ceiling for this team.
I made a goddamned fool out of myself in the stands. Like previous posters, I just need to not ever go to this game as its never enjoyable, unless we beat them by 60 and multiple CHeat players get hauled to the hospital. Hate those bastards with every fiber of my being and it brings the worst out of me.
College baseball for me is easily my second favorite sport to watch behind football. NCAA basketball has become such a garbage game that’s it’s no longer even a close comparison. And college baseball is WAAAYYY better than MLB. Every at bat has me on the edge of my seat, there is much more strategy involved all over the field than in the MLB.
I can easily see college baseball becoming a pretty lucrative television deal in the coming years.
Phil Ford made it well known that he wanted the State job in 2005. Would have been better than Lowe, frankly.
Tyler Zeller is Dean Smith’s spawn too. Just look at him.
As for his other son Scott, I’d say this is similar to Rosario Amato in football, which never seemed to be an issue.
For the life of me, I can’t figure out how anyone could be into the Panthers. It must be the same as being an Eagles fan. Bland, middling, and regional.
