Perfect photo to begin this thread…hard to stop a Wolfpack charging through the snow!
And wouldn’t you know, Ol’ Roy had the audacity to mention a “non-foul call” in the post-game presser…sigh…coyotejoeParticipantCOWDOG, I would love to hear some more about Mr. Musselman.
coyotejoeParticipantJust like driving past a bad car wreck…I’m repulsed, yet I can’t turn away.
coyotejoeParticipantSickeningly similar to the ending of a game Russell played down in Pitt County a few years ago.
coyotejoeParticipantBig thanks to BOTB for getting this posted for me. I found this article in the N&O from May 18, 1940. I found the newspaper in an old house on some property that my Uncle purchased. The fire dept. eventually burned the house for training…glad I was able to save this from the fire. I have a shot of the full page if anyone wants to see it…just email me at [email protected].
coyotejoeParticipantBOTB, I uploaded them to Facebook, and then used “img”; I submitted, and the images would not display, only icons that would link you back to the photos on Facebook. Sigh…I really want you all to see this.
coyotejoeParticipantI have a couple of images from an article in The News and Observer from 1940 that I would love to share with everyone. The article pertains to NC State celebrating 50 years as a university, and how it was perceived in its beginning from those of the powder blue persuasion. Can anyone give me a tip on the best way to post these images?
coyotejoeParticipantI like the idea of Art Monk being an ACC legend. And no, wufpup, it will never get old.
Touche to both sentences.
coyotejoeParticipantHope this link works…from the local paper here in Craven County. Jesse Campbell is being honored at the ACC Championship game tonight. I was a senior when Jesse was a freshman, and one could tell that he was destined for good things even at that age. He was also fun to watch on the basketball court. I saw him dunk with a guard hanging on to him around the waist trying to keep him from scoring…Jesse simply elevated himself and the other player!
coyotejoeParticipantI was able to take my son to the game yesterday…great way to spend my birthday. During the third quarter, part of the band came up the aisle beside us (in section 31) and played for us; after they left, a squirrel ran up the steps beside us, appeared to be headed to Vaughn Towers! A few minutes later, he grabbed the leg of the gentleman in front of me! Everyone was having a ball “Squirrel Hunting”!
coyotejoeParticipantVAWOLFPACK, I’m mostly a traditionalist, but that new version is spot-on!
As far as uniforms, I feel that we should be on “alternate uniform probation” until we have a winning season in the conference.
coyotejoeParticipantI agree…at what point do you expect production; one, two, three years? As a supervisor, I am expected to produce now.
coyotejoeParticipantAt Louisville? That train horn will be ringing “12 in a row”…sigh…
coyotejoeParticipantOn another note, my band played at Jack’s on the waterfront in Morehead City NC last night. Shane Carden, ECU’s quarterback was there with a few of his teammates, and he was having a large time. They were still celebrating the thrashing of the Holes. Shane got on stage with us for a moment, and later he was walking towards me and I reached out to shake his hand…had to catch him! I can now say that I have had ECU’s quarterback “In the grasp”! Ha Ha!
coyotejoeParticipantWell, I guess we should enjoy the first quarter…
coyotejoeParticipantLook on the bright side…how would you like to be that thoroughly trounced team of Holes headed to Death Valley to play a bunch of pissed off Clem’s Sons?
coyotejoeParticipantStatistically speaking, it is always an outlier when my blood pressure stays low during a Pack win…
coyotejoeParticipantYes it was ugly…like a prom date with buck teeth, bad breath, and body odor…but it was OUR prom date, and I’ll take it!
coyotejoeParticipantI am a frequent reader and infrequent poster, but has anyone been watching the pregame? All the fawning over how great Houston was from 82 to 84 is sickening…what did they win during that time span?…Nothing. (and also no mention of the Spud Webb Pack in 84, of which Houston is also very familiar)
They also mentioned how great UCLA was, of which there is no debate, but failed to mention who ended their reign.
And then they trot out Russell Wilson, calling him a proud Badger. At least Russell had the class to mention his time at NC State.
I may be a little thin-skinned about all of this, being a life-long Pack fan.
sigh……
coyotejoeParticipantIn reference to the team comparison chart, and based on the Pack’s performance against Virginia, do you have a picture of a polar bear with a pitch fork shoved up his ass?
