Cosmo96Participant
When I’m negative and pessimistic, positive things usually happen.
…But they won’t this time.
Cosmo96ParticipantBy my count, there are six teams that we’ve played twice this year. We’ve only beaten one of them on both occasions.
:eekCosmo96ParticipantIf you’re not familiar with Happy Fun Ball you can read up on it here, it is apparently the one video you can’t find on YouTube.
When it comes to SNL videos, they’re very restrictive about what is put out on the internet. You can find a few on NBC.com, or Hulu Plus, but you have to pay for that one.
Regarding the Happy Fun Ball sketch, this may be the best we can do: http://www.dirtybutton.com/videos/780-happy-fun-ball/
Cosmo96ParticipantI’m not trying to be an ass but does anyone really care what seed we end up in the NIT. I don’t want to hear any crap about extra practice. To me it’s just another game where one of our future players could get injured. Not to mention the injury to my soul when we play in this useless tournament. I’d just as soon skip the NIT but I know that will not happen.
Like Wuf said, hopefully this post is irrelevant.
For whatever it’s worth, I’m right there with ya, especially the part about having your soul injured.
To me, it’s like being invited to participate in a “Pre-Lent Festival” in downtown Biloxi, Mississippi for a couple of hours on Tuesday afternoon. Meanwhile, over in New Orleans…
Cosmo96ParticipantThe really upsetting thing is this: I suppose winning the ACC tournament is somewhere within the realm of possibility, but barring that sign of the Apocalypse, our chance at an NCAA bid just left town with that loss.
Does a bid to the NIT or one of these other also-ran tournaments really do anything for anyone? Knowing where all the attention will be focused, I can’t bear the thought of the team having to go through those motions. Of course, I’m not playing or coaching, so I don’t know except from a fan’s perspective.
Excitement? Apathy? Anything other than disappointment?
Cosmo96ParticipantIf fouls and a let-them-play mentality rules the last minute of a game, our guys should play by those rules as well. We should get more aggressive; something i have not yet seen.
But that’s the thing. If our guys played like that, all of our starters would foul out within 30 seconds. The let-them-play mentality seems to apply to only one side. You saw it with all these ticky-tack off ball calls in this game. I know you’ve seen it in countless other games throughout the years as well.
There’s a lack of inconsistency, there’s a trend of our opponent – whomever it is – being the beneficiary of that inconsistency, and that’s why a lot of us continue to be so frustrated.
Cosmo96ParticipantI hope Russell Wilson stays as far away from the cesspool of politics as he possibly can.
Cosmo96ParticipantCosmo, I think they were the ones at the UNC-Cheat game debacle.
Ha! That explains why I haven’t seen them. I was 30,000 feet in the air during that game. The only thing I saw was the final score, then proceeded to avoid any and all media coverage of anything for well over a week.
Cosmo96ParticipantRe: The picture at the top of this entry
Whether by necessity or by choice, I admittedly didn’t watch a lot of Pack football this past year, so I’ve never seen those helmets before. Can someone give me the story on those?
Cosmo96ParticipantI remember a couple of weeks ago before the NFC Championship game, one of the networks (I think it was either Fox during their pre-game show or ESPN) was doing a story about how the Seattle DBs play so physically and use their hands as much as they can. They showed a comment from Pete Carroll where he basically said, “That’s how we’ve always taught our DBs to play. That goes all the way back to my days at NC State.”
I thought it was a pretty cool shout-out of sorts.
Cosmo96ParticipantWho cares what other fan bases are thinking or doing about this? Who cares how “they” view this? The act of throwing the former players out was wrong, and Hess and the league office were called on it. And if you think that the fact that the refs put initials on their shoes means it wasn’t a wise move, then you’re as wrong as those refs are for doing it.
Your posts are utter nonsense.
