I know, or at least assume it will get better, and this is not the end of the season, but State Fans seem to have to endure more embarrassing losses than anyone other fan base. Wofford. William AND Mary. Already heard too many jokes from rival fans for this.
We are in the bottom 1/3 of the ACC once again. Checking out for he season. Will check back in for more Wolfpack M&M* in couple months.

I don’t get the Canada thing. Was Chow the last decent OC we had? Why don’t coaches can the OC’s or DC’s mid season when they suck like a 5 dollar whore? Our offense sucks. Next man up. Geez.
Don’t comprehend the play calling…all day. At some point you would think Dore would be asking the OC wtf?
This post may contain spoilers. NC State vs Virginia. The Pack will open up hot. They will at some point in the first half look like world beaters. We will look as good as number 1 Kentucky. We will take a lead into the locker room at halftime. !!spoiler alert!! We will come out of the halftime break a little flat. All that momentum will evaporate. Two spells of at least 5 minutes where we don’t score. In the last 7 minutes Virginia takes the lead and does not relinquish. The Pack drops another heartbreaker.

Seems like a big part of the blowing leads is the lack of our adjustment to the other team’s adjustment. Someone said we go away from what got us the lead to start with…but alot of the time it’s what the other team is doing and how they adjust counter us. It just takes us a long time when that happens to find a plan B and often we find it too late or not at all.
I would not go to any of the 4 non-conference games with free tickets at the bottom 50 yard line and a parking pass at the front door. Thing is it doesn’t get much better in years to come. We could go 10-2 and barely crack top 25 if then.
Keep taking it out on context to make it sound better. We had a 2 point lead. We miss the front end they have 12 seconds…TO TIE. It was dumb. Dumb Dumb. and whatever justification you look for it will still be dumb dumb dumb…and other teams like Notre Dame are glad we do dumb dumb things.
We were up two with 16.5 to play. That’s when the pass occurred. The risks outweigh the reward there. Just inbound the dang ball, make your free throws, and take a 4 point lead. That’s the right play. .

We are all so stupid for letting this program continue to draw us in and then sh1t on us. Gottfried should apologize for hmself this time. That deep pass to end regulation is unforgivable.
STATE Look guys. the Duke win was great, but i’ve already heard too much. “We were perfect”, “this was our ceiling”. Guys, this was not a miracle. This was what you should be every night out, in any ACC match-up. There is no reason for us not to play this way every game. We have 2 choices moving foward. We can bring it Wednesday and win big against the team that has owned us…OWNED US…for 3 decades. And we will show that you have truly learned how to play ACC basketball and are a force in this league. OR…we can quietly go back to being a mediocre team only capable of “upsets”. UNC is coming here with one purpose Wednesday. To put us back in our place…where THEY think we belong. They don’t care that we beat Duke. They’ve been there and done that. They have owned us up til now. What do you want to do? Be a top team in the NCAA or last week’s news blip?
Little pissed I wasted time money and effort taking my sons to that one. Will be the last time for this season I make that effort. The highlight for my oldest (15 yrs old) was standing next to Tacko (Taco) Fall, who was there for some reason, all 7 feet and 6 inches.
I thought the rec players at halftime looked better than the Pack for their ages, respectively.
Agree big time with identity. Alot of decent players with no go to. I have NO CLUE nor do they about what they are trying to do on offense.
FINALLY, the coaches need to recognize the clean-up that was supposed to take place last couple of year with bumping, grabbing on lane cut-throughs, handchecking and general rough play is out the window. Our guys are reluctant to play that way, but I did see Cat start bumping and delivering some body checks on defense 2nd half…and it wasn’t called. The refs are almost like highschool. No blood no foul. Accept it and start playing rough.
I commend the crowd for the in-unison booing on the “no call” missed goal tending. They called about 3. Missed a couple more, and completely wiffed on the one that got Gott T’d Up. these refs were so f’ing lazy they just quit watching plays. How the hell you miss more than 1 goal tend is embarassing. Unfortunately they are the least accountable guys on the court.
The crowd was ready to get loud yesterday. Just never were given a reason to.
The only complaint I have is the missed FT’s. other than that, I thought we DID play decent defense. Factor out the easy baskets for WV from turnovers. We were manhandled. I hate to be someone that blames refs, but damn, it was embarassing to call what WV did defense. Handchecking is supposed to be out. Not this game. the constant pushing, slapping, and yes, IMO the refs got tired of calling it. If they are going to foulf 40 times in a half then call 40 fouls. Refs get tired of Huggins screaming at them, and start thinking, gee, am I picking on them? We are not a physical team, and definitely not THAT physical. No team should be and still call it basketball. And you can’t just turn on that kind of physical play. We can’t bump, slap and push just to match the opponent. Doesn’t work that way. You either play that way or you don’t. I thought WVU was a crappy team and I still do. THE ONLY WAY that team is going to beat other quality teams, refs are going to have to “get tired” of calling fouls like they did against us.
