choppack1Participant
Dd did a great job holding the team together. I really think the turning point was his suspensions for Louisville game. These were his guys and the game was critical….I think when he did that he got that extra amount of buy-in and credibility that made the solid 2nd half of the season possible.
As for offers – they may not come this year, but if we’re better than .500 in conference his agent will get plenty of calls. This year is a feather in his cap -and if next year is too well – we’ll just have let him know how special he is.
He’ll have earned it and he’ll rightfully be a highly sought-after coach. Like grey says – all we can do in that case is hope he wants to stay. And we should want a coach that everuone else wants….it would be a nice change!
choppack1ParticipantGood gosh…championship game is Monday night??? Why? A weekend nice would be nice. If there was ever any doubt it shows you what the NCAA is all about.
choppack1ParticipantCat should be a good foul shooter. His form isn’t terrible. Turner was awesome last night. Friggin purdont.
Bottom line – 1 down, 9 to go. We’all have the horses to compete if we don’t suffer any backcourt injuries. With guys that we have I think we can hang with anyone athletically.
choppack1ParticipantGood game all things considered. Ucf will be a very tough opponent. You the domers ever wonder what O’Leary would have done there? He’s a rich man’s tob.

The to’s and kick return is very encouraging as this indicates a team that values the ball…especially with such youth (though it should be pointed out we weren’t that you at rb or qb.)
As for wildcat – I didn’t mind it. It was usually good for positive yards. Not a good call on 2nd and long – but generally good for about 3. It will be very interesting to see how well and how consistent we are next year.
In 4 of last 5 games the d played well.

choppack1ParticipantExpecting a Gottfried-coached team to shoot well from the charity stripe and keep a team with a talented from line off the boards is like expecting tob to win a conference championship.
The man has a track record and history tends to repeat itself.
choppack1ParticipantThank God we don’t have to face that white 7 footer in the Acc. He was a wfu commit.
Not bad for first road game. The team brought it in terms of effort. First conference game Saturday.

choppack1ParticipantIf it comes down to foul shooting or defensive rebounding we probably won’t win. However, team has played tough and scraps. I’ll give it to gott – his teams have some moxy.
Somehow we’re hanging tough. Pleased with the effort.
choppack1ParticipantRoo – he ain’t in the Dan Marino stage of his career yet. The chargers still have this and at least next year to get this guy a ring.
My favorite qb to watch play…throws the most incredible ball in the game still.
choppack1ParticipantI think we have more talent than Syracuse. BC – time will tell. But I think we should be able to beat this team @ home soon. Dd and company are doing a great job of assembling talent and we have no idea it may look when/if we get to see what he can do 4-6….that’s meant in a good way.
choppack1ParticipantI don’t think the all-AFC team does is measure anything but act performance. We had talent – else we wouldnt have been able to dominate wake and UNC and hang with FSU like we did.
We have/had very young talent..we have some talented experience too. Did this combo exceed the talent and experience combo of FSU and Clemson. Hell no. I think we were tired vs. BC. I think we lacked confidence vs. The ville. I think we overachieved vs. UNC. I think wake has an offense that couldn’t score on a high school d.
choppack1ParticipantNot sure what to say about throwing the deep ball…its more about putting it up there and letting your wr go get it…and knowing when to wing it.
We’ve been fortunate to see Rivers, Wilson and Glennon throw those.
But there’s another theory… A long pass won’t be intercepted. Basing on this staff’s and the players execution in the to department – they may be subscribing to that. And hey, I got no problem with it.
choppack1ParticipantGreat gameplan. Great execution. Hope staff and players enjoy it. Damn impressive. Jones called out Williams and then he walked the walk.
Nice call cowdog.
choppack1ParticipantOK. I am sorry, 2nd of gott’s 4 year recruits to specifically call out both upon leaving….keeping in mind that all 4 of his 4 year recruits will not likely return for a 3rd year…but by all means keep on blaming the teenagers.
Look gott may be awesome and hang some banners, but I am tempted to side with 2 kids who seem like pretty hard workers and good kids. Does it mean I wont support gott – no….but it does mean that I probably wouldn’t want my kid to play for him
choppack1ParticipantNard does a great job on the boards. What I liked about today’s game was that we won a lot of the 50/50 balls. I think the offense will improve. If the foul shooting doesn’t we stand a good chance of missing the dance.
choppack1ParticipantWe have potentially best guard combo we’ve had in a long time (I am trying to remember if there’s been a better one since fire and ice…for a while our 2 guards have been borderline 3s and not great ballhandlers.)
Lots of talent, good shooting, speed, athleticism, size, strenght and depth…no reason for this team not to be good. If we can rebound and defend – and that’s a HUGE if – this year will be special.
choppack1ParticipantTomorrow’s game is huge. A win and we build some momentum for the future and recruiting will be easier. It would be nice to go into chapel hill as the team that could play loose.
choppack1ParticipantCorrect me if I am wrong, but we’re saying it will take 2 more years to get us to 4-4 in the acc? (For those of you in some unnamed counties that would be our record 2 long years ago.)
I have to admit. This could be a little like the mack brown era where it looks horrendous at first but ends up being the high water mark. I do believe ngaryo needs a new department to head up.
I like dd. I hope he gets the wins all wolfpack fans have been wanting for so many years.
choppack1ParticipantPackphanistan – I guess these results are acceptable to you.
We seem to have lots of explosive offensive players… But we know our ol isn’t up to speed yet. Hopefully, Samuels doesn’t bolt. He’s just a playmaker and makes the most out of his few touches each game.
Next year, we’ll lose 2 seniors a piece on our ol and DL. Our much malingered secondary will pretty much stay the same. We probably shouldn’t expect more than 1 or 2 wins in the acc. In 2016, we’ll be breaking in a new qb. 2017 is looking like a make or break year!
choppack1ParticipantCow – I’d like to think so. A couple more wins will make that seem more likely.
choppack1ParticipantTeam doesn’t handle adversity well…hopefully, we’ll beat wake. If we don’t start the hot seat countdown.
choppack1ParticipantOur offense is clearly going down the crapper… The next 3,games should tell us if its just because we’ve played 4 pretty good d’s or if we are just bad offensively.
