    I saw Harrison’s comments.

I am sure ESPN, the NBA and mainstream media will demand some type of action since they were so offended by some senile old man.

ESPN is hilarious. They are so down after this game.

I do like these Kentucky kids. They seem like good kids.

Bonni Bernstein is with campus insiders now?

ESPN is showing videos of Kentucky fans crying.

You know – as state fans we’ve seen so many epic heartbreaking collapses. I have never seen a state fan cry. Angry as hell – check. Crying – no.

You have to be entitled to cry when your team loses.

Wulfpup – I agree. The refs were clearly the worst players on the floor.

I tell you though – Kentucky is tough – but so is whisky…they’ve done that crap a couple of times (outlasted their opponent in last 3 minutes.)

You think there will be some fights in indy tonight?

Times like these are when we need that 3rd place game they stopped doing.

The fix is in boys and girls. And the perfect example of what is wrong with college basketball.

Hate the call – but it looked like the right one.

Those bud light commercials remind me of how old I am….”are you up for whatever? ” no, not really. I have to go to church tomorrow.

Rex Chapman is still working? Last I heard he was busted for scripts. And it was bad.

Great first half. I don’t like Kentucky much – but those guys are incredibly mentally tough…damn good too.

Great matchup – hopefully 2nd half is like the first.

Wulfpup – my point was that a lot of times its the team with better athletes that often are not as fundamentally sound. I love watching whisky… They play very smart.

This Kentucky team shoots foul shots well…cal made a great coaching move and went small. That’s what turned the game.

Will be real interesting. You think Gino is watching? (Or is it Geno?)

Harrison twins are clutch. All they do is make big plays when there team needs them.

Nope – bjd – ky reaches and holds. Granted – they are much more fundamentally sound than us defensively.

Funny – Kentucky has the blue chips but they hold and foul.

Even “funnier” – Wisconsin has more fouls.

You want to know what’s wrong with the game – watch the zebras. They let Kentucky do what they usually do – but call whisky for their deviations.

The most telling comment ever – “tendencies”

I don’t think it’s AAU’s fault….I think the 2 things that are ruining basketball are officiating and ESPN. (I think ESPN is probably more at fault because the continue to use their bully pulpit in a horrendously irresponsible manner.)

Rules don’t need to be changed, they need to be enforced.

    Here’s modern basketball:

Its a street where the speed limit is 25 mph.
The same cop allows one guy to go down the street at 50 mph and then pulls another guy for going 26 mph on the same day!!!

There is no credibility to the officiating and I honestly don’t know how the coaches and players can stand it.

Rye – good call. Turner really stepped up his rebounding towards the end of the year. He also Lee the team in charges…which indcates he’s probably a decent help defender.

I hate it for these kids – and I really can’t blame a kid in his position. You’re sharing time (at best) – with 3 other guys… And you became 4th in that line.I’d be thrilled if he stayed…and he definitely has a role to play…but he may want to use the extra year to bulk up/ or work on his 3 skills.

Tau – I see no evidence of a poor work ethic in Washington. What I do see is a guy who needs to be coached up on the defensive side of the ball and needs to get stronger.

Offensively, he’s got a good game for the high post offense.

My pitch to him would be to work hard – graduate in 3 – if you aren’t happy transfer. If you are – then expect big things here your senior year.

Next year is huge for the program. If he returns his core group and takes a nice step forward, its proof that he is building and can build and has grown. If not, it will reinforce the negatives.

Personally, i’d love to see what he can do when he returns a full and experienced group that he recruited…it will be conclusive evidence as to whether or not we’re ready to compete with our neighbors and be taken seriously on a national level.

So I read the post-game comments and perhaps the best thing I heard was from bj anya. He said, and I paraphrase “I hate that the season ended so early”… That, I think we all know, is not the sound of contentment.

And throw darts if you may, but I believe if the team returns without departures- we can contend for the national title.

On a side note, the domers were a call or two from beating Kentucky.

Louisville wom most of the 50/50 balls. That’s an indicator of who is the aggressor. They clearly outplayed us tonight. I thought the play where cat went down was a bad call, but I am biased.

Just some random notes for anyone who still believes that 83 team was a group if underdogs.

Their rpi that year was #3 – better than Houston’s.
Whitt missed a critical spot of the season with a broken foot.
    The frontline: 6-11, 6-7 and 6-11.

For much of the game v went with a 3 guard line-up…but thurl Bailey made that team versatile.

Alpha – interesting note on homebrew. I have thought about doing that. I have become a fan of microbreweries. My favorite in Winston is hoots. They have an awesome all day beer. (I think it’s done in the spirit of the English bitters but I am not sure.)
