Not yet. I am waking up early and heading that way. It’s gonna be a big suck… could be worse though. Could live on the islands.

A friend of mine who was a uva fan used to call him that. I am not sure if it was his official name – but I thought it was a good fit.

And yes, mr wolf you are correct sir. It’s what I am hoping for.

Models clarifying this morning and showing more consensus…it is good for nc and us playing football Saturday. not so good for Florida.

So, in last 48 hours, it’s been dont worry, do worry, prepare for Armageddon, don’t worry…

Hopefully, the state gets nothing more than rain and a little bit of wind and game goes off without a hitch.

Get this…. Friday isnt an option because a canes game.

Of course, demarest left out that it’s a preseason game that a) doesn’t count and B) will probably have 5k show up.

That, my friends is ncsu athletics. B-slapped by a lousy pre-season hockey game.

Actually the forecast is looking better now. However, there is definitely a back and forth with these things. It seems to change significantly each update.

Well, oyster’s being damaged is bad!

As for the game, looking at the models I have some hope that the game will take place. Of course, that can and will change.

I have seen the unpredictable behavior of these enough in my years to realize that they even up to 12 hours beforehand, it’s still a bit of a crapshoot. Heck, I was in school and stayed up much of that night waiting for Hugo to hammer Raleigh, it went farther west and hammered Charlotte instead. A similar situation happened with Fran.

Well, the committee met and big shock, they have not yet communicated a decision (if they have one.)

According to his…Brian Kelly has given us a 24 hour window (12pm Saturday to 12 pm Sunday) to start the game.

He also said that Friday has not been discussed but is on the table. A conference call is set up with key parties later this afternoon. Hopefully, they book Friday. I went to Georgia tech game Saturday after fran hit and Raleigh was a warzone. I wouldn’t count on things being functional until Monday or Tuesday if Raleigh gets slapped.

Interesting to see what comes. Hoping for the best and wth hurricanes you just don’t know…but right now a Saturday noon kickoff does not look good.

Just recall, last year they were forecasting an Armageddon rain event in Clemson for the game…while there was a great deal of rain, the worst case scenario was avoided and the game went off without a hitch.

But hurricanes are a different beast. Ideally, they would move the game to Friday evening. If you’re on the coast, you can get a head start… however, I am not sure of the logistics work out for that.

You could have game in South Bend or you could set up a tentative date for the first Saturday in December. State will likely be eligible for that in 3 weeks.

This does present a better scenario for “planners”, so I wouldn’t be shocked if they went in that direction.

Me, I am hoping for a Friday game as that is the preferred option for me. Work remote Friday and head to Raleigh, crash there.

This is exactly the kind of kid we need to be bringing to nc state. OTOH, so were the Martin twins.

The key will be if this kid is willing to sit for a year or two and if after that, he feels good about seeing a fair amount of pt.

The scouting report I read reminds me a little of Curtis Staples. I think the staple gun was ranked higher though. Think of an undersized 2 guard or a developing combo guard.

Put it another way, he would be the kind of guard you have been seeing at villanova the last few years. He is much different than the big guards that Gott has had playing the 2 spot.

I like this signing and I hope that a) he is ready and willing to compete for a spot B) he is going to be coached up and c) he will be given ample playing time of earned.

Yogi – agreed! The action was intense.

Today’s match between Rory and Reed was awesome. Congrats to us team, I could have vegged out on it all weekend. The only thing that held a candle was Clemson-Ville and ut/ugA

Haha – yea Adventuroo – I was thinking the same thing, that yesterdays moment will be like Wilt’s 100 point game, where many more people claim to have seen it live than were actually there.

Yes. Can confirm the jumbotron broadcasted wardrobe malfunction.

You could see that it was heading that direction and by golly… hopefully, for her sake there is no video or names. It happened so fast that it was difficult to tell if it was flesh colored braw or nada, but an enjoyable moment for this viewer of youthful indiscretion.

This should go down in the wolfpack history books as one of those myth / realities associated with our school.

Not surprising roo. Like I said a week or two ago, others would follow. One can only hope that in 10-15 years these kids will look back and see how stupid they were.

I have never been so baffled by the officiating and come out on the right side of it.

Solid game by the team. Horrendous showing by the students….end zones were virtually empty in the second half. Embarrassing.

ECU booed their own matching band today after they kneeled for the national anthem….good for them.

I cannot wait to see DSJ suit it up for the Pack. Most anticipated player to wear the red and white in my memory. (I was 2-3 when David Thompson showed up.)

Hopefully Yurt will be given clearance Clarence.

Wow. Foose jumps off the ship…

This game has become huge. What should have been at worst a “trap game” – now represents a few things (potentially):
    1. DD’s first victory over a P5 school with a winning record (at end of season.)
    2. A chance to build some momentum for the domers.
    3. A chance to make a splash nationally by beating an undefeated team with 2 victories over P5 schools.

Simply put, a victory Saturday will represent DDs 2nd most impressive victory in 4 years at the helm.

The good news for us is that wake is missing their best qb and best rb.

A loss here and suddenly a firing this year is on the proverbial table.

IMHO, I think we win and I think we win impressively. We are – by a mile – the most athletic team Wake has faced. Unless we catch the turnover bug – BIG caveat, but DD’s teams are usually solid in this area – we should get the W here.

Like cow says, we need to play with a chip on our shoulder.

Packfanistan – I would say that we have average ingredients. Heck, we haven’t had an awesome cook, but we have been able to make some good cakes.

Our last great chef left too early. We definitely don’t have great ingredients. But not every program who has built had them either.

TAT – I don’t think that’s a fair criticism of Yow. Doeren’s personality is fine – it’s his decision-making that got us into this bind.

He has proven if handed all the right ingredients, he can make a good cake. He hasn’t shown he can make a cake from scratch or make a better cake than his neighbor when his neighbor has better ingredients.

The school needs someone who can do bake a better cake with lesser ingredients. Now, there is the chance that DD can become so good cooking the cake with these ingredients that he can outlook those advantaged neighbors while they try to figure out how to cook with new ones.

And it’s basically come to that at this point in all likelihood. Huge game Saturday for any kind of hope.

Les is definitely a riverboat gambler. It’s odd that someone who takes so many chances in special teams and goes for it a ton plays so close to the vest offensively.

It’s also stranger that Mike Gundy was one of his assistants and well, his offenses have been so vanilla recently. Unless he’s had an awakening – I think his best days are behind him.

He won’t have the talent advantage he had in baton rouge here. Maybe he can recapture that magic he had at okie state and match the results of amato and O’Brien (which the current staff hasn’t done yet .)
