Yeah, DSJ needs discipline and a firm coaching hand in the worst way. He did NOT need to be tossed the keys and said go ‘head and drive son! like Gott did this season. Pissed his teammates off and stunted his own development.

But the raw skill is so much I can’t imagine he doesn’t still go lottery, though admittedly I know as much about the NBA as I do The Bachelor.

He doesn’t coach, and NC State does at least half of the recruiting for him. Not sure why anyone would think he’d be able to sell a godforsaken pit like, well, Pitt County, to recruits.

Methinks he will golf and count his moneys for a year, then commentate. As usual, the cold calculus of the market will speak as to the wisdom of NC State’s firing decision.

Not with a bang but a whimper.

I look forward to life with a real freaking coach.

We are merde, guys. It’s almost like our coach blows goats.

I just don’t get that. He’s good at working the waiver wire, and brought good high-major “refugee” talent to Wilmington, which he used to overwhelm the CAA. That’s good leveraging of the situation, and I’m sure his AD is super pleased.

I hardly see how this is evidence of a sustainable model to compete for ACC titles.

What I have heard from people with contacts in the coaching world is very not encouraging. Keatts would mean (i) DY has screwed up royally; and/or (ii) we decided to go cheap-ass yet again.

Such a hire would show no ambition, vision, nor ability to go out and get someone at the top of the list. It would be pure and obvious settling. Shit, freaking Mizzou will likely make a better hire than that. And they are a five-alarm dumpster fire.

Indiana is now our only competition for Arch, and I don’t suspect he’s first on they list.

WELCOME HOME, Miller family. You won’t regret it.

Oh yeah, I shall have the red shirt ready to go, and ready to toast the end of the season. Whether it be tomorry or Wednesday (in grim fashion if the latter, as Coach K won’t take it easy on us after the loss in his absence).

And given the tourney’s local, sendin’ out an RIP to the ODB…

Wes Miller, still in search of a dance ticket…and a neck.

Very thankful for this golden period of silence, and the confidence that it gives me that Will Wade is the absolute floor of the search, and we shouldn’t have to worry about the likes of Kevin Keatts.

Looking like HWSNBN will end up weaving and heaving back into the CBI or CIT. Jules has a sharp suit, though…

Hey, when I saw him play college ball, I saw “NFL Starter” more in him than I did RW. Which might just lead you to find me stupid (guilty), but I also DID preach that Dak Prescott was the only QB that I liked in last year’s class…

Da Bears would be a nice fit. They have assloads of cap space, gotta spend somewhere. Would you rather gamble the franchise’s future on a nimrod like Trubisky? I sure wouldn’t.

This QB class is even worse than last year’s. The spread is killing the talent pool there and at OL.

also glad the Hole win didn’t put the Blues on opposite sides of the bracket, though I expect the Cuse/Miami winner to beat U*NC anyway…

Ol’ Roy hates State, which makes me reluctantly respect him, which makes me REALLY HATE HIM even more.

I am happy that the Holes’ half of the ACCT bracket is murderously tough, at least. Think they have a 1 seed regardless.

If we manage to get past Clemson, Duke will get to kick our teeth in.

After his first loss against us, he took away their training table the next gameday. Said “I’d rather not eat than lose to State.”

We may not fire Doeren regardless next season because of how much scrilla we has to give Arch. WE ARE a basketball school, after all.

Other than that scenario, his ass better produce TANGIBLY next season. I believe he can, but it’s time to see it. Shouldn’t have shat on his stockholders after going 6-6 last year. Doesn’t build much goodwill.

See, maybe that was the trouble. Mrs. Gott tennis’d and golf and tennis don’t mix. I was a tennis, my ex-wife a golf. Completely different mindsets.

If you didn’t want DSJ doing that, you had to pull him out of the game and let Dorn run point. I mean, MG DID call timeout.

I have no beef with running down the clock and taking the 3, just with the predictable isolation DSJ prayer. A kick to Mav or Henderson is a great idea, and shooting around 5 seconds gives plenty of time for a rebound and put back.

So odds on Browner continuing next year? If this saves his job I’m happy/ They don’t call Wade.

I’d say he’s 80% safe now, as long as he doesn’t lose to BC in the home finale.

The regular season just went around the bowl and down the hole.

well, Brownell makes the NIT and likely keeps his little job now. We shall play them again Tuesday unless Pitt wins @ UVA Saturday.

One should at least play KH now to guard the inbounds, but alas.
