They can’t possibly keep shooting like this. Still…ugh.
Belmont up 8 at Kentucky. Playing for seeding, those Bruins.
BJD95KeymasterKing Hippo Slam!!!
BJD95KeymasterThat Buckets fella is pretty good, though. He might go off for 60.
BJD95KeymasterNot our smoothest start, to put it mildly.
BJD95KeymasterBTW, this will double as our game thread.
BJD95KeymasterThanks for that wonderful nightmare fuel, Wuf. /shudders
BJD95KeymasterTwas Thunder Dan who pretty much killed their QB on a 4th and goal, right? That was a glorious, soul-crushing hit.
BJD95KeymasterBJD95KeymasterIce Cube from back in the day, when he still pretended to be a threat to the honky establishment. Still not as bad as Flava Flav going on VH-1, though…
BJD95KeymasterTime to beat the Basketball Purple Methheads!
Most of Purple Methhead Nation consists of Hole or Dook hoops fans, so the Pierat Riot potential is much lower than in football season.
BJD95KeymasterBJD95KeymasterI hope Buckets tops 40 for the first time.
From the morning paper – EZU has FOUR wins against DII competition. That’s just sad. Even HWSNBN would agree.
BJD95KeymasterLearning how to deal with success is every bit as important as learning how to deal with failure. Amato took this zenith to mean “it’s all about MEEEEEE!”…and the program cratered soon thereafter.
Damn, that Gator Bowl was fun, though. Last bowl game I’ve attended in person, likely the last I will attend (as I get old and more insane/reclusive).

BJD95KeymasterThe players like one another, and I like all of them. Both are a refreshing change of pace.
We have enough talent to potentially be dangerous in March.
BJD95KeymasterKH and Washington were the story of the first half. Can’t overstate the impact they made.
BJD95KeymasterAll our bigs give constant effort. I love every last one of ’em.
So does Cat. He sets the tone for this team.
BJD95KeymasterI’m saving my happy feeling and turning off the TV, thanks very much.
EVERYBODY who played, contributed. Some more so in one half than the other. But we needed everybody tonight.
BJD95KeymasterLMAO, Wuf. And yes, PPF – muscle relaxers can be quite nice indeed. Especially in combo with a painkilla.
BJD95KeymasterSince I know VaWolf wants a song:
BJD95KeymasterI could see us making a real challenge tonight. Finishing it is a bit more questionable.
Is there support within the community for a LiveBlog? The Volmageddon football one…didn’t exactly work out so well.

There’s no question it’s simply too big except when we play the Blues. But I understand the political realities as to what we built, to share with the hockey team.
I do NOT understand why we let the wrong-colored seats go. Apparently the contract DID call for NC State red.
12/14/2013 at 12:44 PM in reply to: Mark Gottfried Would Like To Play a Conference Game in Reynolds Coliseum #34658BJD95KeymasterI’d like a quiet, intimate week in the tropics with Emily Haines. That wish is no more realistic, sadly.
BJD95KeymasterThe silver lining to having a wretched season? The coaches have plenty of playing time to sell. And a good recruiter/salesman can make that work.
It would be quite different for an established coach to “explain” such results. Be thankful DY acted when she did. She was brave, and 100% correct.
