^alum44…. ANTHONY was “oversold” by the recruiters as a D1 point guard….
GOTT & Company knew that a year ago and took ANTHONY anyway…. knowing exactly what he (both of them) had to do to make the cut….ANTHONY will be ALL-ACC before he leaves Raleigh…. if he keeps his head up and doesn’t quit. GOTT & Company will not quit on a kid as long as he’s wearing RED & WHITE.
Otherwise…. he’ll be playing on the asphalt somewere with BubbleGuts, LDII, and what was that other guard’s name.

That’s the CUZ we saw alot of last season.Then there’s the CUZ who wants/expects/gets the ball as the Star player — leading scorer — All ACC — going to the Bigs next season guy… that’s the CUZ we have seen this season… with mixed results
Ya’ll just pay close attention… you’ll see the difference.
It is NOT conincidental that the better the rest of our kids play… the better CUZ plays….

fwiw….This… excerpted from The History of the Southern Conference….
On Feb. 25, 1921, representatives from 14 of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association’s (SIAA) 30 members met at Atlanta’s Piedmont Hotel to establish the Southern Intercollegiate Conference. On hand at the inaugural meeting were officials from Alabama, Alabama Polytechnic Institute (Auburn), Clemson, Georgia, Georgia School of Technology (Georgia Tech), Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi A&M (Mississippi State), North Carolina, North Carolina State, Tennessee, Virginia, Virginia Polytechnic Institute (Virginia Tech) and Washington & Lee.
Play began in the fall of 1921, and a year later, six more schools joined the fledgling league, including Tulane (which had attended the inaugural meeting but had elected not to join), Florida, Louisiana (LSU), Mississippi, South Carolina and Vanderbilt. VMI joined in 1925 and Duke was added in 1929.

Since we don’t have a standing SEC date… the battle of the land-grant schools seems the obvious place to start… State v. Auburn, State v. TAMU would be a good start…. I think

After watching some parts of all three games tonight….
I wonder if if this is how our games appear to the rest of the country ??I hope not….
1. Crowd wise…. our worst nights at the RBC would set records at the U…
2. W-L records aside…It’s been years since we’ve had as “boring a team” as UVA…. 9-1 and they can’t fill their gym either.
3. Florida State is a real football school…. the legacies of Hugh Durham, Tully gym and the Big South Conference live on south of Tennessee and west of Monroe Avenues. In spite of that conference championship a couple years ago, Hamilton has an awful long row to hoe.Yep… I’m just glad we are NC State.
