First of all…..does Uncle Billy take reservations?
If ever in the north end of Lake Okeechobee area, the Speckled Perch is a must eat at place. Don’t go there if you want fish. They don’t serve fish, its a Steak House. And don’t judge it by the outside, just a plain cinder box building with dirt parking lot. It has a little bar room called the Bream Room, cold beer and $2 whiskey shots. No fish again as this is a mans man steak joint. If you order it rare, medium or well done, it comes out that way. Nothing fancy, just good eats.

^That’s dead on. In fact some bowls end up giving away tickets to area charities just to fill seats, aka the Independence Bowl and Boise Potatoe Bowl. Thinking that us playing in Charlotte earlier had a lot to do with us not getting invited back. And who knows, the team may have chose El Paso instead of Charlotte, it would be more exciting to fly/play in Texas than a bus ride to Charlotte. We as fans see it as how far and time/cost wise it is for us to go, the team sees it as an all expense paid destination. El Paso probably won hands down with 19-21 yrs old players.
National Champs? ACC* (*Atlantic Division) all the way. We are not just a basketball conference any more.
David Glenn? His show is a waste of airtime because he says nothing. Why I stop listening to 99.9 until now with Coach Logan back. All Glenn does is talk 6 minutes about whats coming up on his show, whos on his show, and then recaps whats coming up and then recaps whose on his show. In between that, 3 minutes of pure jibber jabber. Then 6 more minutes of recaps and whats coming up…yadda..yadda…
Dabo not going anywhere but move into his new 15,000 sq ft castle in Clemson. Not sure why all the comments on being down next season. With all that’s reported and happening, should maintain or be better. DD has the 24th ranked recruiting class in nation coming in. With qb Leary, running back Person and linebacker Wilson, we should be fine. All three are ALL Americans and potential impact players unless redshirted. And rumors are that Dax Hollifield is considering his verbal commit from UNC and opening up visit to NC State. He is a horse at middle linebacker. Stanford is alos high on his list but he wants to play with WIlson, why both had verbaled to UNC. If he comes, we could see the highest ranked and best recruiting class in NC State football history.
Perhaps we could see more of DD slapping the Hat:
If DD takes the Tenn job, so be it. Not saying I want him to leave, just saying if he’s blinded by the money offer over the reality of the expectations there, then good luck. Personally I think the Vol fans would scream if DD is announced as the new HC. It has been interesting watch another school play out a Lee Foulup caliber coaching search. More popcorn pleeze.
FYI, Coach Logan said “Senior Day is day from Hell….its the most distracting day for a coach and team.” Even said that its hard to go from an emotional pregame entrance to being physical on the field. Plus it changes all pre game prep as needing to have seniors on field early, having parents on field and
media. Said most teams lose on Senior day because of the distraction it causes.Just quoting Logan as I don’t have a dog in this fight.
It was on espn3 so there will be a replay there. Again, WOW…..I like what I saw all round with this team. I also like what I saw with KK in game coaching. DD should feel the heat more now Saturday. Good win.
Win or Lose….very impressed with how this team is playing on both ends of court. Just gotta stay out of major foul trouble till the end and can see some frustration mounting on ASU.
Officiating is calling touchy fouls against us. They don’t need any help as this is a legit NBA team with all those bigs. Tied at half is a tremendous accomplishment for Keats young career as head coach. Don’t see us winning but I like what I’m seeing.
What makes this season and the last 20 yrs seem so bad is that when we seem to have a chance to have a good season, establish momentum and win the recruiting drenches, we BEAT ourselves. This game is a footprint of why we will never get to the next level: Poor Play Calling, No Kicking game, Dropped passes, Stupid penalities like late hits, Poor clock management, Busted secondary coverage. I for one am tired of same ole whine its the refs or Swofford, its old like like losing. Good teams make their own destiny, ours just seem to get close and fade away in the 3rd qrter. Blame it on not having been there in 20 years or blame it on coaching, but not on the men in stripes.
Refs did NOT lose this game….PLEEZE do NOT start that. Drop balls and poor secondary coverage lost this game which if not for a stupid fumble on goal line we would be not even mentioning that. UNC will come to our house and throw, throw and throw. What could have been a game to look forward to now is one I dread. We are cursed.
This coaching staff sure seems to call plays that make us look like we wanna lose. 2 yrds to gain and we call a flair out wide. RUN the Damn ball up tackles !
