Al ball hogs to get charge when could have given Yurt a slam to change mo at 4 pts. Then he touches ball when all has to do is let it go out. We have ball with chance to cut to 1. Instead VT goes on run….. Game changing sequence……
Loved how KK zoned Luckie out when he was talking to him going into the break. Refs are effecting the outcome. 3 on Yurt…..someone has to step up now. Abu? Freeman? Markell? Who?
We have a coach that WANTS to be at NC State. Not one that needed a job, needed a big payoff, needed fill an hiring hole of quicksand and not one that is a feel good hire like was/is in the family. I think this point cannot be pointed out enough. KK wanted to coach at NC State. Just that fact made the hire feel right not just his potential. I’m like most, excited with what have seen but still realistic enough to know Rome was not build overnight. I hope not but can see and expect some L’s to come that could hurt how we all feel now. Its the ACC, anyone can beat anyone any given night. BUt I take security in the hire that we may have something special in KK.
The next couple weeks will be very important in the first year of KK tenure at NC State.
I’m happy where this team is, love the way they have responded to Coach K. I had to dvr the game watch later. I knew the score and all before actually sit down watched game. Yes, we outscored ND but if you really watch our play, specially the first half, we were sloppy and boo awlful at times. A lot of turnovers, bad passes and air balls. Fortunately ND was worse. If ND had been on their A game, it would have been different. Perhaps our D made ND play and shoot so poorly but just for a eye level, there is a lot of room for this team to improve. Not trying to rain on this parade but if get a chance, look at the game again knowing the outcome. We can get better. Which maybe the most positive thing at this tenure for KK and Wolfpack basketball.
Shows what having a coach that can COACH can do. It was ugly, but we are at .500. Go Pack, on to the Cheats..
Cut it to 5 by attacking the basket. Go back to shooting quick 3’s and lead goes back to 9. Can KK not see that?

I’m afraid you maybe correct. KK is slowly losing my confidence in this hire. We may not win a game in ACC play.

You guys must been really hungry that day. Before it was a Mexican restaurant it was an old run down Pantry no id was ever required and always had JOB 1 1/4 in stock. Only way anyone finds that place got lost or in town work related with Static Control.
As a kid, my grandma would always make pear preserves. For lunch during putin tobacco, We would have peanut butter sandwiches with the pear syrup so thick on it the bread would be wet. Never ate the actual pears, just the syrup. She also made homemade molasses. Remember my grandma said what made it so good was she would poke her finger in the biscuits to make a hole for the lasses….MMMMmmmm good memories.

Flying Fish !!! You nailed it Yogi !! Its worth the trip to Barbados just for it. Last time there, ask our taxi guy to pick a place he would go for lunch, it suggested flying fish sandwich and chievece at out of the way local dive on the beach. Told him take us there and will buy him lunch. Add some Bajan pepper sauce and a cold Banks or Piton beer….heaven.
Also Biminis at NMB is good choice. Its a little local dive bar/grill with plastic beach chairs and paper plates but the food is as good as the atmosphere. A must go place when visiting my parents can reach by golf cart. None of the cookie cutter type buffet joints can top it.
Another small out of the way worth the drive gem is the Lake Gaston Pizza grill next to the Food Lion on Eatons Ferry Rd. Don’t let the name fool ya, its got some good food made by owner Pete. Petes Pig Wings in a molasses pepper bq sauce it worth the trip. I always stock up on the bq sauce to use on my grill feature wings and chicken. Also try some of the best she crab chowder or Crab, Shrimp & Corn Bisque served with sweet cornbread this side of the mason Dixon line. Wash it down with a cold local craft beer. Just ask for Pete !!!
