Gott play calling in regulation lost this game. Throw ball in bounds, let them foul you…no hero long ball pass from in bounds with 12 seconds to go and 2 pt lead. This team and Gott is gonna make me forget about basketball season.
The team did come out flat the second half, up 7 and quickly down with an 18-2 run by the Canes. I question to why this happened, could it have been that as some said, GOTT out coached? Did Coach L make halftime adjustments that just put us out of our game? Or did we just leave it in the locker room at halftime? It was like two different teams. Momemtum going into the locker room and turnover brick city coming out of locker room. Again, was the adjustments Canes coaches made the difference in the second half?
Bill, sorry pile on bad results, but the Wolfpack women lost to the UNCheating women in Reynolds tonite. I wanna like Barber but he like rich says, he is one frustrating Cat to watch play.
Say what you want about Cat, he hurts this team. Again tonite, two unforced errors on him UM made a 6 pt swing and takes lead for good. Then another two unforced errors end of game and its ballgame. Cat continues to cause atleast 8 pts for the other team with bonehead play with as seen in games like this, can be the difference in a win or loss.
1-20 after beating Dook or UNCheat I believe is more accurate according to WRAL5. I try and be a Cat Fan but have to agree, he brings zero to this team. I knew once he got the ball after the timeout needing a three in final seconds it was a mistake. No urgency then nor when bringing the ball up court or sitting a play. Would rather give the ball to Dez than Cat. Way overrated and way out of his league so far to me. He has atleast 4 or 5 bonehead plays, dribbles or passes that cost this team atleast 8 pts a game in unforced errors. We made our little run while he was on the bench as has been the norm all season. Ok, off my Cat soapbox.
I don’t understand Barber, alot of athletism but seems no basketball smarts. He does stupid stuff like dribble off himself and make lazy passes that cost us altleast 8 pts or more a game. Plus he seems to kill momentum with a TO. Trying to be a Cat fan but not yet.
But remember Bbeach…..Flacco is the greatest NFL qb ever, twice on Sunday and once Saturday night. Go Pack(ers)!
Bbeach, if you referring to Seahawks/Panthers, I’m in with just 4 TD if anything like last two defensive struggles when played. And I hope D’ville beats Cheats by 20 plus. Looking forward tomorrows Ice Bowl rematch and hopefully a Dook loss….Go Pack(ers)!
Two 6 plus minutes of not scoring because one player tried to take over the game and force shots. Not looking forward to Sunday.
No problem Rox, thanks for pointing that out. Remembered the graphic with NC State mentioned as made comment, not the actual content. I still believe the game is more noteworthy how bad FSU played opposed to how much better Oregon appeared to be from the lopsided score. If it was a 3 game series, would put my money on FSU.

I heard it and if remember right from the graphic shown on tv when comment was made, NC State was referenced because we had the biggest lead against FSU and still lost… not so much about who we are. Still, with that said, if FSU had played (7 TO) us like they did against Oregon then we would have probably beaten them handily too.
SF, one could substitute two things with your statement and show that is not always the case:

Announcers also said surprised to see Cheats shut out in a half…again….if done homework one game back could seen it. Nothing could be finer in Carolina to see them shut out with a Pack victory follow up on same channel.
You gave up your season tickets because of long lines for the bathroom and traffic? Come on Man….seriously?
If the man really like to bass fish like Coach D says he does, and I believe he does as saw first hand how quick Coach D jumped in a bass boat with one of our NC State Bass Team members the first month on campus to fish on Harris Lake just for an hour or two. Money talks but nothing “pulls” on a true fisherman like the pull of a big ole bucketmouth on the end of his line. Wisconsin maybe his second home to Kansas but neither compares to the opportunities to catch a trophy largemouth like NC. And neither can offer trophy bass fishing only minutes from campus. All the Bass Pack members sneak away to Lake Wheeler inbetween classes to fish because of the lake is full of ten lb or bigger bass.
Point is under the right push and opportunity to get Coach D on the water more often could leave him saying “I don’t think I’m in Kansas or Wisconsin anymore” often.
