Who is and how are you being shat upon? It is your choice to be a paying customer. If you don’t like the product then don’t buy it. I get it…you think the program sucks. I think we are not good but will get better.
As an alum I prefer to support the program and try to make changes through constructive suggestions to the program and university’s administration rather than continue to publicly berate the coaches and players we comments such as “we suck”.
I suffered through three straight 3-8 Tom Reed years with little talent yet the next year a little known but experienced successful coach came in and won 9 games with the same talent different schemes. It ain’t all about the talent. I think things went south for us after Clemson cause they never got over that game and that is cause DD is still a young inexperienced coach. I think he learned a lot last year. I expect to see a big improvement in his coaching much like you see in player from their freshman to sophomore year. We still need better talent but can see us being middle of the pack in the ACC. Is it worth being LTR/Season ticket holder? You have to answer that but if you do try to support the program you pay for in a constructive manner.
Glad to see the administration set this up and for Russell to accept. He is a great person to have as a spokesman for NCSU. I understood why TOB made his decision and why Russell did what he had too. Good to see him still a Packer at heart.
You are right sir! People, especially those in NC, are just so ill informed and unable to connect the dots. However the NCAA should know better yet after all the recent revelations they are still silent. As one that was around in the 1987-1990 witch hunt I just can’t stand it. It is to the point that I don’t care to even share free air with anyone who supports UNC-CH.
Really? So you want Butch Davis to coach NC State football too. Only difference in Butch and Bruce is that NCAA “wanted” to believe Butch was not lying to them. I want not part of Pearl at NCSU or the ACC for that matter. Cannot imagine BC having any interest in him even if he is an alumnus. I can understand it being a good fit for Auburn. Then again they actually thought Jeff Lebo would make a good coach.
College basketball success is make up of three parts. Talented players who are taught the fundamentals, emotion and motivation. That is why Jim Valvano was so successful. If you ever saw any of his game specific practices you would have appreciated how underrated he was as an X and O guy. If you ever heard any of his practice closing or locker room speeches you would understand the emotion and motivation keys. So while the stats are nice the game Thur depends more on how Coach Gott keeps the team from believing the “trendy picks” and stay focused on playing their game. If they do that them the stats take care of themselves.
The key is that if it was the Duke guard falling out of control with Clemson players around him then the whistles would have blown. No way would there be a call of “no contact”. That, in a nutshell, is an explanation of the ACC ref bias.

There is no way that UNC-CH would allow any of those ADs or coaches to stay as long as we did based on W-L records or performance. Yet somehow we are crazy for letting go of them!

For the record – we did not run off Hess. Please enlighten me on how you came up with this original thought.

What is your point? Are you trying to say that by questioning Hess ejections of two fans for questioning his calls (of which perhaps you have seen this happen but I never have even at Duke .. have you ever attended a game at Duke at heard what the fans say to refs there and what Coach K used to say in his early years) that she should have expected the refs would band together and then call BS calls on her team? Or are you trying to say that NC State should just accept injustice?
I still have not seen any justification for Hess’s actions and the fact that the refs in the tournament decided to support him shows the ACC has no control over the refs. Then again when the head of ACC officals states that “UNC is a team that tends to foul less than others” and “we watch for tendencies” then perhaps your right in that DY should have expected the blow-back from the ACC refs.
“With Hensen they would crush us” … you think so if we were able to have all 5 starters play without worry of tick-tack fouls?
A great link with tape of CL charge and asking the question how is this different from Marshall’s play. Easy Answer: See Marshall’s comment. The UNC player knew there was no way the ref would call a BS charge in the last second against them with the game on the line. End of discussion.

F^&K Duke. Hope FSU wipes UNC ass and makes little Roy pull his team out the court for safety’s sake. The amount of BS they get away with and reasons for it boggles the mind. Whatever … go to Hell Carolina. In my mind the NC State walked off that court the WINNER!
LMFAO. Watching the FSU/Duke game and Number 30 for FSU just fouled out. He had the ball and stuck his arm out and pushed off. They said “that’s a good call and it will get you every time”. I had just finished the Marshall video. I did not see a charge/block what I saw was him push off to move the defensive player out of the way. It was the exact same play as what just happened in the FSU game.
