Alpha WolfKeymaster
Nothing like an interminable game with a television timeout between every possession. Great TV, and even better for the fans attending the game. (eyeroll)
Alpha WolfKeymasterPerhaps Carolina should do like the Jacksonville Jaguars and cover up empty sections.

09/19/2015 at 4:19 PM in reply to: Game Thread: Wolfpack Football vs Monarchs of Old Dominion #88858Alpha WolfKeymasterThanks for the mini rant about finding the channel the game is on. Why people can’t figure those things out on their own amazes me. It’s as if Google or channel guide doesn’t exist.
09/12/2015 at 9:02 PM in reply to: Game Thread – Wolfpack Football vs Colonels of Eastern Kentucky #88696Alpha WolfKeymasterInteresting article via Twitter:
26% of parents with high-school athletes think they’re raising a pro. Most of them are wrong. http://nyti.ms/1K14n2l
09/12/2015 at 9:00 PM in reply to: Game Thread – Wolfpack Football vs Colonels of Eastern Kentucky #88695Alpha WolfKeymasterConsidering that I can’t see the game, at least the score looks more like it.
A LOT better discipline and execution in the second half. We’re playing a lot of younger kids now.
09/12/2015 at 8:59 PM in reply to: Game Thread – Wolfpack Football vs Colonels of Eastern Kentucky #88694Alpha WolfKeymasterNice throw by Jalen McLendon while he was rolling out, which he follows up with another short completion.
I think we’re going to be okay after Brisette.
09/12/2015 at 8:21 PM in reply to: Game Thread – Wolfpack Football vs Colonels of Eastern Kentucky #88689Alpha WolfKeymasterA couple of Colonels got demoted by the Wolfpack’s blocking on that return. Not one but two blasts as Cherry streaked by.

Benteke did bury the early leader for Goal of the Year, though.
09/12/2015 at 7:37 PM in reply to: Game Thread – Wolfpack Football vs Colonels of Eastern Kentucky #88674Alpha WolfKeymasterBJD’s having a good weekend, considering his Everton boys utterly waxed the Russkies today.
09/12/2015 at 7:36 PM in reply to: Game Thread – Wolfpack Football vs Colonels of Eastern Kentucky #88672Alpha WolfKeymasterNotre Dame is always overrated, so I don’t expect them to drop much if at all.
Question is, has UVA actually improved enough to be a real threat?
09/12/2015 at 7:33 PM in reply to: Game Thread – Wolfpack Football vs Colonels of Eastern Kentucky #88670Alpha WolfKeymasterAll in all, a very mediocre half considering the competition. Too many penalties, one receiver on EKU is tearing State’s DBs up, a fumble, a blocked field goal, etc. Yeah, we’re leading 14-0 but we’ve not looked sharp.
09/12/2015 at 7:30 PM in reply to: Game Thread – Wolfpack Football vs Colonels of Eastern Kentucky #88668Alpha WolfKeymasterAnd no chicken and biscuits for the visitors after an excellent goal line stand from a first and goal from the two.
09/12/2015 at 7:27 PM in reply to: Game Thread – Wolfpack Football vs Colonels of Eastern Kentucky #88666Alpha WolfKeymasterPiss-poor interference call in the end zone, but it’s State’s fault for allowing the Colonel Sanders Boys to drive the field.

Going to Twitter for rationale discussion is like going to a strip club for church. Just saying.
09/08/2015 at 12:54 PM in reply to: “The most despicable act I have ever seen on a football field” #88415Alpha WolfKeymasterDo an investigation, and find all the facts. Find out whether the coaches or other players were involved in planning the assault, and then punish all of them accordingly. There is no room in American sports for this…it’s a high school game, not a South American soccer match, for goodness sakes.
As for the usual and tired liberal vs. conservative argument, I’ve met plenty of idiots on both sides of the political spectrum. I’m NOT saying that anyone here is of that low level of intelligence, but political leanings one way or the other is not a reliable indicator.

Alpha WolfKeymasterLive DJ….in-game?
Perhaps the DJ will play more than four ancient songs over and over and over and over all year, like the band does. And I am not talking about the two fight songs or Alma Mater.
08/26/2015 at 8:40 AM in reply to: Suffering From Football Related Brain Injuries, Former NC State QB Erik Kramer Hospitalized After Failed Suicide Attempt #88090Alpha WolfKeymasterGoWolves, I was up there with you that day.
08/25/2015 at 1:35 PM in reply to: Suffering From Football Related Brain Injuries, Former NC State QB Erik Kramer Hospitalized After Failed Suicide Attempt #88078Alpha WolfKeymasterIndeed he did resurrect the program…people complained about TOB and MOC, but if they had been around for Kiffen and Reed they would know that State football was only good for drinking purposes before Sheridan.
I have some great memories of Kramer’s time — the win against SoCar and Clemson at home being the best ones. The Clemson game was a CBS national game before there really was a lot of cable choices for football, and the Tigers were not too many years after their national title. In a game in a driving rain that they were supposed to romp on us, we took them to the woodshed.
Anyhoo, I figured posting this on the front page would be a good idea, especially as the national sports sites start to take notice of it.
Alpha WolfKeymasterThe band would have to learn a fifth song if that happens.
I kid, I kid. But they do repeat themselves quite a lot.
07/17/2015 at 12:15 PM in reply to: College Football’s (Continued) Student Attendance Problem #87613Alpha WolfKeymaster“Our data tells us that the most important things for fans coming to the game are parking, restrooms and concessions,”
After all of the funding drives, stadium expansions, and millions of dollars poured into the opposite side of the stadium, the East Side of CFS looks essentially like it did in 1972. It has the same entrances, the same bathrooms and the same concession stands that were there when I was 12…and I will turn 54 before we play our last game.
And that’s also the part of the stadium where most of the students sit.
Go figure.
Alpha WolfKeymasterand what was the former democrat legislature too busy doing??? This has all been bi-partisan…
There are a lot of things the political elite in this state disagree on, but one that they are in lockstep about is that Chapel Hill is untouchable.
I am still incensed that this scandal has lasted long enough to be across administrations of both parties but neither could be bothered to make meaningful investigations into what the hell has been going on at the “people’s university.”
