I fixed your image link, Foose. Use URL in the comments.

Here’s an example of an image link for those that don’t know how to do it:

I don’t see Cat going pro, but you never know what goes through the mind of young guys.

He’s got the physical skills to make it in the NBA but he needs to develop his game for at least two years in college, IMO. If he does — get that outside jumper down, become death with the midranger, physically mature a bit, then he’s got every chance to be an Iverson-style player who does quite well for himself.

If he goes to the Association at the end of this year, he will be in the NBADL riding a bus in between games at places like Des Moines.

I think that this game was winnable, but at the same time I fully realize that this is not the most experienced of teams and in places it is lacking talent as well.

While we lick our wounds, we should at least get a little solace from the fact that Kyle Washington came up big at times. Yes, he made some mistakes late in the ball game, but hey, the kid is barely getting used to wearing his college uniform.

Cat Barber made some mistakes too, but you would have to overlook his defense to say he had a “bad game.” Again, freshman in the first semester of his career.

Even though he is a senior, Vandenberg wasn’t quite all there tonight, but keep in mind that he doesn’t have the most experience and that he’s going to have to climb up a learning curve.

Not sure what to say about free throws except that it seems that all college athletes are allergic to practicing them in AAU or prep ball. The number of clanks I saw in the UK-Louisville game today mirrored pretty much what we had in our game, and we all know that UNC is having trouble with their trips to the charity stripe too. Had we made our free throws, likely we’re celebrating and not bemoaning mistakes that cost us the game.

Take it for what it is and don’t make too much of it: this is a young team that faced up to a ranked team and damn near beat them. They did some stuff wrong and will learn from it. If that’s the case, sometimes when you lose you win. Let’s hope so.

No, it had no effect on the game…but…it makes me feel better posting it.

I think they’ll learn from this, but damn, oh so close.

and I’m tired of the jabs at last year’s team.

You would think by New Year’s they will find some new material, but its ESPN and they have to drive their “narrative” into the ground.

Jimmy Dykes is such a tool.

I love how we’ll struggle in the conference without a second scorer. Good comment when you’re leading a ranked team by ten, Jimmy.

I like that confident shake of the head “no” from Washington. That tells me the man is proud to play defense.

The best part of the early season is that it is Washington tonight, it has been Freeman others, and King Hippo has put in some good minutes as well. There’s a solid core forming here, folks.

I’m more nervous about this game than a nekkid teenage boy with his girlfriend in her bedroom when her Daddy drives up.

Win or lose, fans should not take away too much from this game. It’s going to be a tough one with little margin for error, but I like the Pack’s chances. Let’s hope that mistakes and/or refereeing don’t change the outcome.

They’ll need to play their best game of the year on both ends of the floor, but either way it’s going to be a perfect object lesson for the young players about what’s to come for the conference slate that’s now just around the corner.

And, oh by the way, UNC-G beat Virginia Tech today.

Good recognition for three guys I am going to hate to see go pro but am going to enjoy watching them play in the Show in the not too distant future.

It’s hard to believe that baseball is a mere six weeks away now.

^ How do you like the HDX? I ordered one last minute for the wife…she left her Nexus in the seatback on one of our flights last week.

Plywood, in my memory, which goes back quite a ways, the Bears have never had anything but an overrated QB — Jim McMahon included. For some reason, the McCaskeys feel that cheerleaders are degrading to women and that franchise QBs aren’t necessary to maintain a steady state of mediocrity.

IMO, now that they have Marc Trestman, they should go ahead and get Lee Fowler to be their GM. The circle would then be complete.

Yes, the team will lose some games, and maybe even a couple of them may be of the “WTF” variety. In their next game, they are going to face a tall order, in fact. But you have to give them credit for their tenacity, unity and ability to hold it together when things get tight. These guys are playing beyond their experience.

As for playing defense better, well, compared to the 2012-13 edition, their team defense is a lot better than what we endured from the guys who were more worried about their NBA resumes and in-fighting with each other.

I don’t know about y’all but I am sick and tired of seeing one of the Harbaugh brothers throwing a hissy fit on the sidelines when a call goes against their team.

Both of them look like a guy getting their ass kicked in an argument with their wife.

Flacco signed a contract that took away all of their cap space. And for teams in the future that put the franchise player tag on their QB, they’ll be hamstrung. I am looking at you, Carolina and Washington.

It is reported that PJ is still practicing and possibly will be a student assistant coach for the rest of the year while he collects his “unemployment basketball benefits from the Rams Club” for keeping quiet…

Amazing how when they dismiss a player, they don’t really dismiss a player.

    The Kerrliner way.
