Reports surfacing….all speculation but Twitter is a Tweet…
Mack Brown quasi endorsed in an Ad Lib comment at a football banquet…..said to be around for many years….as Coach? As Special Fund Raiser? As assistant to the AD? Who knows….
Saban said that his buddy Jimmy Sexton (you recall one of HIS clients….the Butcher of UNC fame) done got him a powerful raise…..gone from around $5.0 – $5.4 to $7.0 to $7.5 MILL…..
Understand that Coach Williams had to be medicated. Or was THAT because of the little incident with one of his tenants? Don’t know.
Mikey is supposedly UPSET in that Saban is getting a little TOO close to his $10 Mill and Duke will have to pony up….especially if that give Dave (First Dave) Cuttcliff a raise.

OPPS….he was 1 & 11 there…..so he is NOW 23 & 26.
Maybe NO ONE expected better than that for CAL. WHY were THEY not in this top ten list of SHAME?

I certainly hope that Coach Doeren uses all this bashing and trashing to get the troops (including his staff) fired up. Remember Fedora’s STATE countdown clock….it worked…or maybe TOB just forgot how to coach in Q4 that year.
NOW…what will happen in Austin today? What will happen in Tuscaloosa? I remember being at a condo on the outer banks over the Christmas and New Years holiday a 06/07. We had come back from a walk on the beach that morning and turned on the TV. It was on ESPN from the night before. There was a reporter standing all alone in the parking lot of the Miami Dolphins Stadium. The 10 & 6 Dolphins coach, who said he had NO interest in Alabama was NOT there for his scheduled presser. He was on a fat cat’s jet to Tuscaloosa…..HMMM? Those Texas Long Horn Jets have really nice appointments….and supposedly Platinum bathroom fixtures as Gold is too gaudy….
We will see….

Cade Foster, the AL kicker that missed 3 FG and was pulled for the Frosh who had his RUN BACK (Since Saban has several rings…..was that a Gutsy or Stupid call???) is receiving hate email and tweets from the LOYAL AL fans.
Cade, #43, did get a letter of support from a guy that got kicked around pretty bad and his reputation defamed….George (#43) Bush.

I thought that the WM fans and the Alums that got them PRIME SRO tickets done signed up their daughters for the “I Bleed for Bama” plan….
The young ladies are the equivalent of the Sweet Carolines and were SUPPOSED to be reserved for the 5 star recruits as signing and performance bonus.
They sure can’t use cameo appearances on Duck Dynasty as bait.
How are they honor their recruiting commitments?
BTW….if Saban goes, he needs to TOP Mikey’s number so that the Dookies will start a fund raiser and that could cause ole Roy so much emotional stress that they would have to hide his Red Ryder BB gun, lest he inflict injury onto himself….
I got this last night….read it….thought about it and re-read it. I was impressed by the sincerity of it. It came from what I think is his heart and there was not flowery PR or professional editing. We have seen a LOT of that in the news and we also get it in the paper from politicians (both sides, but predominately one clan).
Therefore, I took it at face value and emailed some folks at NCSU expressing my support.
Now (and you guys know this), my letter would have been a tad longer….
BUT, I might have put in the word “Far” as to far below our expectations….but I do NOT know what Coach D’s were.
I think that 5 & 7 or maybe a 6 & 6 was what I had in mind with no bowl…and until we go to a DECENT bowl, I do not plan to travel.
SO, I will give the letter an A. By my memory, Coach D is the TENTH (10th) HC since I matriculated to Raleigh do years ago this past September. That is a LOT of coaches….
This is the first time that a coach has actually come out and addressed his less than lackluster season and presented a plan to improve…..what I concept.
YES, he needs to win next year. BUT, he DOES get it and he IS SINCERE….
As previously posted, go back and look at NIU and the coach (Kill?) before Doeren and Carey (after). Look at what Doeren did with a new staff and TALENT. He and his new staff also brought in Talent (Lynch might have been a Kill recruit)….but he and his staff WON with Kill’s talent. Kill took the staff with him and his record at MN is not stellar. Carey also, with his staff, won. OK…Doeren is no fool, he brought 6 of them here….
SO, he and staff have a record…..when they have TALENT. If he can overcome the W/L issues that MAY impact recruiting, then next year looks pretty promising.
What I also looked at….he RED SHIRTED a BUNCH (20). Now I do not know what the ratio or number is or has been…..but he knew that he could “get away” with a poor season this year and held some trump cards for 2014. That is pretty savvy….
I’m with him and expect an improvement and will bet that Debbie Yow has made certain that she is not going to judge him on just ONE year….BUT…
Tis the season to be JOLLY and also to quit MOANING. Jimmy V said that he had to “pump himself up” in the summer of 1982 as he had NOT done what he knew that he and his squad was capable of …..YET and that the fans would expect, as he did, a marked improvement in the 82-83 season. He talked about spending many days at the beach just looking over the stats and working on areas where he and his staff needed to make changes and also where they needed to improve the skill set of his players….

Maybe it was, but I traveled to Cortland and Syracuse for about 15 or so years….even during the winter.
Wandered around the area for dinner and had some long weekends with DW in the Finger Lake areas. I always thought that it was REALLY progressive…as in it’s academia leftist leanings.
If it was ever progressive in its athletic mentality, then I think that all changed when they started running NASCAR at Watkins Glen.
Boys in dark blue trying to control the ball…..that’s one way to keep FSU from running up the score….

Bryan and company today at the BB game were in the zombie zone for the first half. At half, they got a call from the Buffalo Looney Bin (J. Swofford at the Helm) and told to get with the program.
They then tweeted their way towards their average….
ONTO FSU & Duke….have on Royal Blue but still my red from today’s game….
