Should I interpret from your various posts that you’re not too high on JB’s passing skills.
No MP, I like JB as a QB but he is not an accurate passer down the field. Its his biggest weakness because while he has the arm strength to get it out there he normally overthrows his receivers by 5-10 yards. Today he is in a zone with his accuracy on the deep ball. Its a shame his receivers aren’t doing their job and catching most of them.

Heel, I have to respectfully disagree. Last year JB was great at running and staying on his feet when taking hits but throwing the ball accurately down the field was not one of them. Through this season he’s continued to be inaccurate and frankly a lot of times he either does not see the open man down the field or refuses to throw to him and chooses the RB on the flats.
Hey now, he was fine on deep balls last year (I thought). And the Alston drop was all on Alston.

I understand DD needs a kicker but when it’s 3rd and 2 inside the 20 you f’ing go forward and play 4 downs. Piss poor coaching decisions/playcalls when EVERYONE knows we can’t even kick an extra point let alone a 44 yard FG.
As for the rest I don’t think DD can do anything about our lack of speed in the secondary and no complaints.
Anyone who doesn’t think the refs didn’t get the memo from Swoff probably is a *NC fan.
I think the pre-season prediction is accurate, probably finish with a .500 acc record plus or minus a game. Remember that just because Team A may be better than Team B, with the unbalanced schedule Team B may finish higher in the standings. As for State I think the reasons behind staying in the muddy middle are simple, we have averaged an Adjusted Defensive Efficiency of 99.2 under MG which says you’re an average defensive team nationally and I don’t think we’ll see a consistent change in that this year or any year under MG. We have also steadily decreased our tempo under MG during his 4 years at State, from 68.0 adjusted possessions per game to an average 64.3 adjusted possessions per game. So being average on defense and average at pace doesn’t equate to a top level team.
Sure this team can be different as each season is a new team with a new identity but we aren’t bringing in a superstar freshmen class that drastically changes who State already is as a team.
They are healthy, prepared, and a superior team.
Let’s not go overboard now.

Oh I can’t wait to see the unrealistic expectations meet reality. The denials and excuses will be flying around here.
