The one thing the refs have been consistent on te entire game is not anticipating a foul on every shot block.
Rick, the officiating changed at halftime. They are clearly calling it differently and must be frustrating for the Pack who can’t seem to adjust to it.
I’m sorry but when Anya goes flying forward after jumping straight up for a rebound there was a push in the back.
We have no one who can calm this team down, put them on their back, and score when it’s needed.

The first 5 of the second half will be interesting. You can imagine the vols come out mad and pushing it inside even more. Will we be able to handle the aggressiveness. The big key has been our defensive rebounding, they aren’t a good shooting team and when we take away their second chances their offense is nonexistent. I wonder if Martin will switch to zone or stick with man?

I’ve noticed with Dan that if you do something as basic as getting a rebound you’re a sensational player and he really likes you.
Cow dog, we get it, the refs do multiple conferences. The “ACC refs” comment ties directly back to the ACC officiating head official saying they look at tendencies and instruct the refs who do ACC team games in such tendancies. So when most people say “ACC refs” we aren’t stupid, it’s easier then explaining the back story everytime.
That should have been an intentional foul on UT because he never went for the ball, just grabbed Nard around the waist and pulled.
I like the officiating so far, pretty consistent. Though it wouldn’t hurt them to call a few fouls on UT. 😉
I’ll be around tonight just can’t promise what level of snark I’ll be able to bring. I’m sure Dan will provide enough hate to get me to halftime no matter what the score.
Doesn’t everyone know that only 2 basketball teams exist in the ACC offices? If I recall only the names on blue uniforms count.
Rebounding is key. The Pack can’t give the Vols multiple looks at the basket every trip. It’ll be a blowout before halftime if that’s the case.
