Duke’s stud 197 Connor Hartmann faces Michael Boykin for State.

Boykin had two good matches in Evanston but needs a tough output today.

Hartmann and Boykin dance and parry and Hartmann gets a takedown at the buzzer, but it was debatable. No video review for tonight’s match, which is stupid because cameras are streaming the match. Hartmann begins the 2nd period on top leading 2-0.

Boykin has been terrible on bottom this year, so he needs desperately to get out of the down position.

Boykin gets ridden out for the entire 2nd period. 2-0 lead for Hartmann plus riding time. Boykin lets Hartmann up so Hartmann up 3-0 now.

Boykin gives up a takedown. Hartmann leads 5-0 with riding time in hand. Boykin has a stalling warning. I really like this kid, but have seen too many of these matches where giving up a takedown in period 1 proves the death knell for his chances. Hpoefully Coach Pop can get some really good improvement out of Boykin. Up comes Gwiz with State leading 28-9.

Thanks, MrP. I like doing this. Sorry to the Pakfanistan and CD for not seeing their comments earlier. I was in fact, in the zone. As for the sport of the gods, that must be curling. Because only someone with that much time on their hands will watch that for two hours. Thanks again, fellows. Next up for Pack Wrestling is the Pittsburgh Duals, where the Pack will take on Hofstra, Harvard, Edinboro and American in dual team action.
