Just saw that Willie Burden died…Those were the years! Right, Cowdog!
"Whomp 'em, Up, Side the Head"!
.. sorry to hear this… but not too unexpected…
yeah… although things are relative…
we did see some good football on the field at Carter Stadium …
PSU, FLA-Gatorholes and the local rivalries come to mind first…

My high school senior daughter — who’s gott State on her list of “possibilities” next year — asked me a couple of weeks ago while we were watching the State-Syracuse game from Section 9…
“Was it like this when you went to school?”
I thought to myself… hmmm… exactly how much do I tell her??? then proceeded…
“Well… there were free buses back and forth from campus … so you didn’t have to drive and park… and you see the endzone and the stands to your left…. that was a “grass hill”… and if you were a student and did not have a ticket.. you could come in that gate up there… with a “cooler” and a blanket and a date and “whatever else” you wanted to bring in… and sit on that grass hill for Free… and watch the Football game…” …
She said….
“Everything has changed since then… hasn’t it?”
and the only answer must be…
“… in more ways than one…”
==================
Mr. Dog has “better” stories than I do… but most all of them he might need to keep unpublished…
