ParticipantGO PACK!!!
Brings back fading memories of 74, but especially ‘83. I was at State from ‘76 through ‘82. But I made it back to Raleigh for the game against Houston.
Just WOW…03/18/2024 at 7:57 PM #135975Becton901
ParticipantAnd, thank you for posting Alpha. I wish this site would rise from the ashes.

ParticipantThanks for the write up. The Pack had a special season for sure. Maybe it’s what we needed to turn the corner in basketball. There is also hope for football after the finish last season. I wish this site was active again too! Hopefully there will be new stuff published regularly….

ParticipantCan anyone write articles and post threads about Pack athletics on this forum? If so, how do you do it? Thanks

ParticipantYeah…about that football season. lol
The basketball run was magical…kind of. Nice to get that monkey off our backs, but the whole time I have to say I never really enjoyed it like back in the day. I enjoyed it, don’t get me wrong, but the whole time I knew it was just pure luck. No corner had been turned, KK didn’t suddenly “get it”, etc. It was just absolute, pure, unadulterated “everything went exactly right for a few games”. Shots that normally missed went in. A few defensive stops. Opponents had massive brain farts and missed key shots they normally didn’t. Game after game, and I guess it was kind of magical in a way.
Was secretly hoping to be wrong, but alas, this season shows I was not.
And now we’re stuck with him. He’s our Paul Hewitt. Hopefully it won’t take the AD 7 years to make a change if it continues the way we all know it’s going to like it did with Hewitt.
And DD needs to go. Changing coordinators isn’t going to help, we don’t have the talent to compete for the ACC title. And it isn’t on the way, either, current class sitting at #54.
Rejuvenating this site seems like a good idea, though.01/03/2025 at 12:45 AM #136800Becton901
ParticipantYep.
I hardly watch any games anymore. The MBB run last year was a fluke. Now I just check the score the next day.
I might watch the cheater games, until we fall too far behind.
Definitely not going to put any more money towards MBB or football until changes are made at the top.
It’s just sad.

ParticipantWell, well, well. Looks like someone involved FINALLY decided to get rid of the loser mentality. Hoops future is now pretty bright.
DD, you are now on the clock.
