Final…
Paige — 24 pts — 2 assists — 4 turnovers
Parker — 30 pts – 11 rebsTotal Points Scored 172…
____________Looks like Cuz will need a big game and a double digit win tomorrow night to have a decent shot at POY….
____________
Numbers are deceiving… :>}
If Paige had got 12 or so of his 24 in the first half and more at the beginning of the second half..instead of at garbage time… this would have been a totally different game…
Holes can play Hess for not letting MacAdon’t play…
That’s what some State fans would do…____________
ShowGirls blow hard again in the second half…
A whistle a minute night…Total Fouls 42 — *NC 22 — Dook 20
FTAs — *NC 19 — Dook 31Good night gentlemen.

03/09/2014 at 3:08 PM #44842bill.onthebeachParticipant… Unfortunately…. just not the Wahoos best day…
Twerps finally found the emotion they needed to bring the extra energy and concentration required to beat a very good team. Something to do with the reality of their LAST regular season ACC basketball game, perhaps…
One clear indicator of the condition of the Twerps basketball program is that today was the only sellout at a home game this season… if I understood the TV guys correctly.
From here… there appears to be very little reason as to why the Twerps hadn’t been playing at this same level since the regular season started… their only victory against Tobacco Road was against the Deacs at home.
Bennett will “use the loss” to take some pressure off his kids… and they should be formidable next weekend in Greensboro.
———–On the other channel..
The Noles are hanging tough against the Big Orange. Second half of that could be as interesting as the Twerps/Hoos game…
————
Then… it will quite “interesting” to see how much of that same “emotion, energy and concentration” our kids bring to the gym today….
Five days of practice ought to count for somthing…

Going by recruiting rankings, there’s nobody on their team, but Van Vleet looks awesome.
03/09/2014 at 4:04 PM #44849WufpackerParticipantAgreed…they certainly seem to have suppressed (at least for the moment) the Sycamore uprising.
03/09/2014 at 4:13 PM #44851BJD95KeymasterDon’t forget about our Credit Union friends, making a run at Mercer. And yeah, Van Vleet is at good as they come. Fantastic player. Having a great PG really levels the playing field and keeps you consistent.
