It’s not really complicated…. and there’s no magic bullet…
1. the four *NC Bigs have twenty fouls… the four NCS bigs have 20 fouls…
2. *NC has Paige and two freshman at guard.. NCS has Barber, Lacey, Turner
3. Once again… Tokoto is the wildcard.. same as last game…NCS has 2 Martins, and a Lee…

Cat was not spectacular tonight as he has been the last several games. Which is ok. We just need to peak at the right time and I’m glad we did not do it tonight.
I wouldn’t over emphasize too much on Paige…
He had 5 pts against Dook the other night and gave up twice that many…just saying…
the question is does 2 Martins and a Lee = 1 Tokoto…

He was doing fine until he went down with a hurt foot or ankle. He wasn’t quite the same after that. Looked like he was favoring it on his shot and not quite as fast on defense. Hope he is okay.
Just don’t understand why – with an overwhelming size advantage – this team felt compelled to take 26 freakin’ 3’s ?
They earned the first half cushion by pounding it inside. Should’ve been a career night for Abu and Anya.
Glad they pulled away, and any win is a good win at this point of the season – especially this season – but Geez….

That was a jab aimed at the “whole team is transferring” guy. I do love Kyle’s attitude. Every time I looked over at the bench he was standing and cheering harder than anyone.
Agree, Bill. Just keep Paige in check. Need to make sure Tofu (Tokato) and Meeks don’t have a good game.
Paige, Tokoto, and Meeks are all difficult assignments, since each has a good jumpshot. A tough matchup on the road, will need a solid gameplan to keep it close in the end.

To be fair, VT’s scheme on defense had a lot to do with it. The attempts I typically have a problem with are first look/best look attempts where there is no/minimal offense run … Those shots usually lead to runouts for the other team.
Re: Paige – going back to his freshman season, he has more or less single-handedly defeated us now 4 straight times. That’s a pattern. We ignore it at our peril. He doesn’t have to be scoring to control the game.
