N.C. State Wolfpack (14-10, 5-6) vs. Virginia Cavaliers (21-1, 9-1) | 8pm @ PNC Arena | TV: ACC Network (WRAL locally) GoPack preview | Virginia team
[See the full post at: Virginia @ N.C. State – 8pm]02/11/2015 at 1:39 PM #73688VaWolf82KeymasterMy mom used to get the CO because she thought she would get more news about the college games. When she figured out that they really only covered UNC, she cancelled her subscription.
So with that background, you can understand why I thought the text in the hyperlink was the actual title of the CO article. Turns out to be not as bad as I expected.
02/11/2015 at 1:44 PM #73691wufpup76Keymaster^Haha, I guess that text is a bit leading … not intentional though!
02/11/2015 at 2:08 PM #73692coach13ParticipantThis post may contain spoilers. NC State vs Virginia. The Pack will open up hot. They will at some point in the first half look like world beaters. We will look as good as number 1 Kentucky. We will take a lead into the locker room at halftime. !!spoiler alert!! We will come out of the halftime break a little flat. All that momentum will evaporate. Two spells of at least 5 minutes where we don’t score. In the last 7 minutes Virginia takes the lead and does not relinquish. The Pack drops another heartbreaker.
You may now all enjoy watching any other program tonight. You have read the book.
02/11/2015 at 2:31 PM #73693brqan925ParticipantThe first time State played UVA, Anderson led all players with 16 points and he had a team-high 9 rebounds.
02/11/2015 at 3:14 PM #73695MISTA WOLFParticipant5-2 in fellas. That’s we need over these next 7 games. The beatings will continue until morale improves. Brighten up friends.
02/11/2015 at 3:28 PM #73696CodebrownParticipantWithout Anderson, we’ll still lose by 20. Over/under total points for us: 39
02/11/2015 at 4:03 PM #73698choppack1ParticipantIn the words of Kenny loggins…this is it.
Win here and you’re in the thick of it. Lose here and well, we’re approaching pipe dream status.
02/11/2015 at 4:05 PM #7369913OTParticipantI’m heading out there for a meal at the Arena Club and a game that hopefully won’t give me indigestion.
This is a pivotal game, big time. If this season is to be salvaged, the team needs to do something tonight that will stick the rest of the season. Hitting a bunch of threes won’t do it. Hitting free throws will. Playing great perimeter defense won’t. Playing consistent team defense, especially interior, will.
Last season’s game here was something like 76-45. The last one, in Charlottesville, wasn’t pretty either, but at least we were in the game. Hopefully this one will be even better for us.
In a low-scoring game like UVA prefers, points off turnovers could be huge. This is to me the area where State can disrupt the Cavs and give itself a chance to win a game they need badly. Another close loss to another ranked team won’t cut it anymore.
Hold THEM under 50.
02/11/2015 at 4:19 PM #73700TimboParticipantThe definition of insanity, starts tonight at 8.00 see you all there.
02/11/2015 at 4:19 PM #73701VaWolf82KeymasterState needs at least one of UVA, @L’ville, @UNC. Tonight’s game is no more important than the other two.
I put the game @UNC to be the least likely with UVA in Raleigh and L’ville away in a tie for unlikeliness.

Alternate Title: “The Beatings Will Continue Until Morale Improves”
02/11/2015 at 5:21 PM #73703Fastback68ParticipantIIRC, the twins shot 1/13 against Clemson and 3/11 at Wake. We need everyone to hit at a higher rate.
Big picture – my hopes can’t be crushed if there is no hope to begin with. Throw me a bone with a victory already. Go Pack.
02/11/2015 at 6:40 PM #73705bill.onthebeachParticipantI don’t have a f’ing clue… as to what to expect tonight…
So I’m headed to “therapy” aand hope to catch the second half…

02/11/2015 at 7:38 PM #73711MrPlywoodParticipantSomeone mentioned listening to the last game via the TuneIn app, just wondering what station(s) that might have been. I used to be able to get the games over the interweb, then they started blocking the game feeds.

02/11/2015 at 8:04 PM #73716wufpup76KeymasterI like Dan Bonner, and I appreciate him trying to be positive – but State has done the exact opposite of “played themselves into pretty good shape”.
We’ve played ourselves almost completely off the ledge. Things can change though.
02/11/2015 at 8:05 PM #73717wufpup76KeymasterThat’sh not what your mother shaid lasht night, Trebek.
Trebek was a ‘rogue’ long before it was fashionable to be one in Chapel Hill.
02/11/2015 at 8:06 PM #73718BJD95KeymasterWe will probably lose tonight, win at Louisville, lose at home to the castrated turkeys. For we are NC State.
02/11/2015 at 8:06 PM #73719MrPlywoodParticipantThx Dog.

I think 16-15 and needing one at the ACC Tournament to clinch NIT berth. Who knows who the two wins would come against.
