Both of them, on the same day! It’s a strange world we live in.
Which begs the question, which one is the better job? Who are the front runners to fill the positions?
Talking heads say Chip Kelly to Southern Cal makes perfect sense as his NFL experiment aint working out.
So what about South Carolina?
It will be interesting to see who usc can attract. It took Spurrier and Holtz back to back to make them relevant. That was 30 years after they bolted the ACC to pursue a football national championship. They’ve got ESPN money to help buy a solid coach. Charlie Strong anybody?
Id have Fritz (Ga Southern) and Brown (Troy) among my list to consider. Jeff Brohm should be considered if they want to go with the hip and trendy, ie young offensive guru.
Or they could go train wreck entertainment and go after Sarkisian if he promised to bring back Garcia as an assistant.
And don’t forget about Lou’s son down in northern LA. If I remember correctly, he inherited a depleted offense but didn’t Skip a beat after following behind Sonny.
Actually, given the history and familiarity, book it.
Skip Holtz to Columbia. That is if there’s no bad blood.
So what about South Carolina?
Once a A$$hat… always a A$$hat…
