But the point is… the “1”s ain’t coming to State… never have… except David and Kenny…

I don’t remember seeing JJ play enough to really say…
but to be clear as to exactly what I intended…
The “1” kids may or may not have 4 or 5 stars coming out of High School …#NCSU-North Carolina's #1 FOOTBALL school!01/17/2015 at 8:27 AM #70004BJD95KeymasterWatch MG throughout the game. You’ll see he focuses his energy on Cat. Because it’s a CONFIDENCE/slump thing with him right now. He’s thinking too much, and second guessing himself, rather than just cutting loose and trusting his instincts.
Now, there certainly is a possibility the light never goes off, and he just remains a secondary ball-handler and defensive specialist. That would be disappointing, but still has value. It’s basically the Ishua Benjamin career path.
It was ME who said he was the best on-ball half-court defender in the league and I stand by that. Go back and re-watch the Pitt game, where he completely shut down their best player for 40 minutes. Paige was out of his mind Wednesday, that happens sometimes when you take the opponent’s best perimeter player night in, night out.
TAFKAWBS had to go, because he was maybe the worst defender I have seen in the league (among regular game participants) in a decade. Sorry, but you can’t play guys like that, no matter how they give you happy “Scrappy Doo” feels. He’s going to be a backup guard for Butler, a second-tier new Big East program. The market doesn’t lie. He wasn’t going to play here, because he wasn’t good enough. Period, full stop.

Just a feeling…… and ‘beej … you’re right… it’s 80% confidence and 20% how fast he can learn and digest the new things he’s learning how to do…
I do not think Anthony will ‘quit’ on us… or himself….

Agree 100%. Had Lewis stayed, he wouldn’t be playing. Cat and Lacey would be ahead of him for PG minutes, and possibly Des as well. I assume Lewis saw it coming and it was a big factor in his transfer decision. I wish him well, but I don’t think he is missed on this team.
