CoY – Bennett ; PoY – Warren
1st Team – Warren, Paige, Parker, Ennis, Harris
2nd Team – McDaniels, Fair, Patterson, Hanlan, McAdoo
You can make the argument to switch Ennis & Harris with McDaniels, Fair or Patterson.You could give James Johnson COY for finishing the season out instead of sticking his head in the oven.
The interesting part for me will be whether Buckets and Paige are unanimous first-teamers. If not, the contrarian voters need to be called out by name.
Who gets ROY? DPOY?
Dickie V says that Buckets is the man. Case closed. Over. Done.
Only bad part, is that we are now all agreeing with Dickie V, which caused me to die a little inside.
I will make this real simple. Have either Parker, Patterson or Paige on our team. I am sorry but I just do not see them having us finish in the top 3 or 4 in the conference. It is TJ Warren POY.
Let’s see…waiting until the final game of the season, Parker “goes off” for a career high 30 POINTS, grabbing national headlines in the process. Honestly, I’ve lost count how many plus-30 pt games TJ has this year.
I have bad news for everyone..doesn’t matter if Buckets goes for 50 tonight.

Heard from a writer with a vote on the radio yesterday…
I could see Parker and Paige splitting the “Blue fluffer” votes. Everybody else will vote for Buckets. I think last night helped our cause, actually. Paige was the only guy close enough to pass Buckets had he led them to victory last night.
Yeah, Paige had empty stats…but unlike me, most people (voters included) actually WATCHED the Blues play last night and won’t be especially impressed.
Totally preparing for TJ to get ROBBED for POY. Too many “writers” and “experts” saying they voted for Parker. As of right now, I think the odds are 50-50. I really hope I’m wrong. The only silver lining is that if he does get snubbed, I see him going for 50 in Gboro.
There is no doubt who SHOULD win it there is also no doubt who will NOT win it.
Buckets will be robbed.

I stand by my assertion that Buckets will be robbed, but only out of first team all-defense. He will win POY in a walk. Fortunately, Ennis and Fair dropped off enough that Buckets can and will consolidate all of the non-Blue fluffer vote.
No way buckets gets robbed of POY. Most local folks said they would vote for him over Paige or Parker. He had a banner year.

I’m still convinced Warren will garner POY.However,if Paige gets it, I cannot considered it a ” rob job.”
I think he is equally worthy of the distinction.
