01/13/2016 at 5:49 PM #9685513OTParticipantWhy is a 9pm tip necessary for an ACC Network game?
01/13/2016 at 8:17 PM #96861PrimewolfParticipantMy question is why punish yourself with another Gott coached game. Same ol, same ol.
Just kidding. Well, not really.

Luckily for me its blacked out.
01/13/2016 at 9:06 PM #9686644rulesParticipantAnybody got an audio link? Tunein radio isn’t working for this game. Can’t find it on iheart radio either. Yes, Primewolf, I’m a bit of a masochist. Have to be to be a Pack fan.

01/13/2016 at 9:14 PM #96874WulfpackParticipantWhich is the game thread?
01/13/2016 at 9:15 PM #96875WTNYParticipantThis season is actually refreshing in weird way.
I normally get so worked up.
Now I know we will lose (save one here or there) and I can actually calmly watch the game.
*Sigh*
01/14/2016 at 12:14 AM #96942mak4dpakParticipantCertainly a sparse crowd at the game. Understandably so, being there myself. Same ole song and dance. Play like crap most of the game, then try to pull it out at the end. And Anya and Caleb are killing us with their poor play. Can we just send a card to chapel hell and tell them we decline the invitation? It will be ugly, or should I say uglier, as we have shot miserably, and every team we play seems to have their best 3 point shooting game against us. Perhaps we can persuade Henderson to go ahead and start playing. We are in desperate need. But I will say hats off to Abu, who had a great game, if he could just get the rest to catch on. Season seems to be getting longer, with each game we play.
01/14/2016 at 5:13 AM #96944rbwolfpackParticipantWell its official, I have watched my last game this year. I will watch for scores but as for spending my time for games maybe next year. Good luck
01/14/2016 at 8:07 AM #96946RickKeymasterWhoever had FSU in the pool loses.
01/14/2016 at 8:17 AM #96948WulfpackParticipantFour games in and already a cooked goose.
01/14/2016 at 9:02 AM #96949packbackr04Participantother than Cat (and possibly Rowan who is a frosh and still needs some time to improve), we simply don’t have any div I starters on the roster. I look at the Twins, Anya, Freeman, and Abu and think to myself, “those are all 7,8,9 “depth type” players who should be getting 5-10 mins a game on a legitimate ACC team”. Yet they are forced into starting roles and playing 20-30 mins a game because thats all we got. I just feel bad for Cat b/c hes getting doubled all game and we just dont have any answers. All the kids seem to play hard, they just arent very good.
And all the above is on Gott. hes been a DI coach for a looonngg time. Theres really no excuse for it. Any chance we could get him to step aside so we can hire Archie this offseason?
01/14/2016 at 11:40 AM #96958Heelh8rParticipantwe simply don’t have any div I starters on the roster.
Are you one of the same guys who has us losing 2-3 players to the NBA this year?
01/14/2016 at 11:47 AM #96959packbackr04Participanthahaha, we dont have anyone on our roster that is even remotely capable of going to the league other than Cat. Jason Pierre Paul has better hands than Anya and Abu (I assume those were the 2 you were referencing who had dreams of going to the NBA this year).
we will definitely lose 2-3 players this year, it will just be to transfers though.
01/14/2016 at 12:05 PM #96960Heelh8rParticipantWho’d want em, they are not D1 players according to you
01/14/2016 at 12:16 PM #96962mowog67ParticipantYou can’t hang this squarely on the players. They are thin and less talented than some teams in the league, but there is enough there to compete, IMO. The staff needs to scrap their game plan and tailor something for the group of players on hand. Start with cutting down on possessions with quick 3s that tend to lead to fouls in the post or fast breaks the other way. This team is a good offensive rebounding team. Maybe emphasize getting to the basket and putting it up on the rim. If it’s missed maybe someone will get the stick back. It’s better than trying to control missed 3s and being forced into quick defensive transitions. Maybe save a little energy along the way as an added benefit.
01/14/2016 at 12:19 PM #9696313OTParticipantIt’s the afternoon after last night’s game, and this is just the 18th post?
That pretty much tells you all you need to know about Wolfpack basketball.

After seeing that “crowd” last night I think AD Yow needs to do something quick because its not just this board who has turned completely apathetic to Gott and this program. Kindof feels like we have been teetering on the edge since the 2nd season with Gott and now the inevitable is here. He doesnt have the talent to mask the coaching deficiencies. Next year is probably going to be worse than this. Not sure how you can find any positives to say otherwise.
01/14/2016 at 12:57 PM #96967WolfWiz11ParticipantThere were multiple game threads, I believe. Regardless, I did not post and I stopped watching the game with about 7 mins left. Just done watching this year. Turned off NCSU notifications from my Bleacher Report and Google apps on my phone.
01/14/2016 at 1:42 PM #96968packbackr04Participantwishful thinking i believe WP92owen… she just gave Gott an extension like 3 days before this season started? I have no idea why, but weve got Gott for another few years.
I dont know HeelH8r, College of Charleston would probably look at em? Maybe Western Carolina? What other ACC team do you see anyone on this roster not named “Cat” getting any significant playing time on?

Since when does actually whether they will actually be drafted factor into our players decisions about declaring?
01/14/2016 at 2:30 PM #96972packbackr04Participanttouche Rick, touche
01/14/2016 at 2:33 PM #96973packbackr04Participantcould it get so bad this year that Gott is let go at seasons end? and part 2, could that possibly be the best possible scenario?
01/14/2016 at 2:35 PM #96974Aggressive Pack All NightParticipantGottfried is not the issue. He’s earned the right to have a down year. This team was supposed to have Trevor, Kyle and a healthy Terry, he can’t control that stuff. The twins and Rowan should not be playing the kind of minutes they are but they’re doing the best they can. They’ll only get better…Freeman and Anya have always been role players. They both need to be more aware on the defensive glass and find bodies to box out. I’m sick of seeing guys get putback dunks on them all the time. Abu needs to step up and become a consistent scorer opposite Cat. This season is what it is. The current team is going to be out manned on most nights but they’ll play hard and tough. For the first time since Gottfried got here I don’t feel optimistic that we’ll finish strong and make a run unless Abu has a monster 2nd half and Terry comes back soon. Maybe Kirk can become viable??? I understand the issues we have and don’t blame Gott at all. I like the guys he has brought in and am proud of what he’s done with the program so far.
