Pack plays Terps in DC.11/16/2014 at 8:06 PM #61640blpackParticipantPack/ Terps would be fun. You think Debbie would want the guys ready to play? Could Ezu fall all the way to play us? Oh how the mighty…
Shreveport? Annapolis? Just glad we are looking at an extra game and extra practice.11/16/2014 at 8:17 PM #61641GreywolfParticipantclick
11/17/2014 at 1:17 AM #61652Alpha WolfKeymasterUNC is 5-5, and could become bowl-eligible with a win over Duke, before we play them the week after. Just sayin’
11/17/2014 at 6:41 AM #61653StateFansKeymasterbut..the ‘could’ not beat Duke and we ‘could’ keep them from getting to a bowl!

That’s the best we could achieve this season. Knowing us and our history, I am skeptical.
11/17/2014 at 11:14 AM #61667ryebreadParticipantWake Forest was a must win game and we got it done.
I view UNC as a “minimal expectations” game. I expected us to finish 7-5 (3-5) and we need this one to do so. We lost what I figured were 2 more favorable swing games (BC and GT) that were at home. We need to get 1 out of 3 of those. I don’t think 7-5 (3-5) is unreasonable given the incredibly weak non-conference schedule, the weakness of the ACC and the fact that we had a lot of our most winnable ACC games at home.
UNC isn’t quite must win, but if this staff is going to break through, this is a game they really need. They need recruiting momentum, and to get it in state, they need to beat UNC. UNC’s program is seemingly in turmoil, so they also need to take advantage of that and put the foot on the throat. Beating UNC would give us much needed momentum headed into the bowl and to next year. It’d also give DD and staff some breathing room with the fans (which we saw TOB do time and again by basically beating UNC to “save” and otherwise weak season). Finally, there’s no better way to keep a rival down, than to beat them, particularly if that win keep them out of a bowl.
The UNC game will tell me a lot. Will the staff and players come with that sense of urgency needed or will they just mail it in? Time will tell.

I had a three paragraph post I’ve tried submitting on this thread several times and it just refreshes with the text still in the typed in the box but never posts. That’s actually happened several times on different threads recently too. I guess my post wasn’t UNC scandal centric enough to add value here…

Probably the spam filter, which is super aggressive, and completely uninformative about why it’s blocking stuff.
Which makes sense, but can be incredibly frustrating when you try to make a high information post that is blocked because you used a word, phrase or link that is filtered, and you have no way to know what’s triggering the filter.

Quoting this again so that the people behind the scenes (that can actually spell HTML) will hopefully see it.
For the rest of us, compose long posts in a word processor so you can try various combinations. In other places, posts with a lot of hyperlinks will get blocked (have no clue if that happens here or not).
