If we are going to have a position called Rover, or Hero, or Bandit, etc. then I will be so jacked up that the record won’t even matter. It also makes a lot of sense from a match-up stand point as long as we can still stop the run.
Mak4dPak, Jimbo has lost two games here in Raleigh on years he should have been a national title contender. I hope we play well, but I don’t see the nighttime heroics come through this time.
Stopping the run is the biggest what-if? for this year’s defense. Our pass defense has improved with personnel and a scheme tailored to that personnel.
I also read that one of the coaches stated that it is easier to recruit in NC with a 4-2-5 because there are more good athletes that fit into the bigger strong safety type than at linebacker in the state.
